My motorola krzr k3 will not connect to my pc. I have just recently upgraded to win 7 form xp pro. My motorola phone tools program worked well on the phone with xp but now im getting a mesage saying my phone is not supported for this version of motorola phone tools...... What could be wrong when it worked fine before I changed my operating system?????? Help!!!!

Why up grade if XP Pro is working fine???????? The only time to up grade is when your existing OS is not compatible with some program you wish to run. Other than that you should stay with XP.

If you have to "upgrade" your best bet is Win 7 but that is a clean install, not an upgrade. Stay away from Vista, Win 8.1, 10 lest you have horrific issues with convenience, compatibility and/or drivers.

Win 7 is extremely touchy about network drivers. I didn't see your computer model listed but you'll need to log onto your computer manufacturers support page and download the Win 7 drivers for the network. Since your internet connection doesn't work right now I'd suggest another machine, if you have one or go to your local library with a Flash Drive and download the drivers to that. Good Luck

please check the driver is installed properly or not. If not, please reinstall it.

steps to install:
1. connect your device to computer.
2. It will prompt one message saying 'new hardware found'.
3. click on that and go for install driver option.
4. click the cd on the drive and point the install location to cd drive.
5. once the installation is done, disconnect the device.
6. now restart your computer and start using it.

Restart the computer is Safe Mode (press F8 when booting to get a menu of options). This will start the computer with the minimum number of drivers and "extras" being loaded. From here you can press Win+R to bring up the Run command and enter 'msconfig' and press Enter. From this tool, you can allow your normal startup programs and device drivers to load. You will want to keep anything related to your DSL drivers disabled for the time being. Then restart the computer normally. If everything loads as it should, you can keep going back to the MS Configuration utility to add other drivers and programs one-by-one and retest (reboot again) to make sure everything is working properly. Once you know what the culprit is, you can uninstall that program and reinstall the Vista version if required. (If it is just software for your DSL modem, it probably is not required under Vista.)

go to www.motodev.com and download the usb driver for vista for it
