I turn on the vivicam vivtar 5022 and the shutter button won't work but ever other button will take a picture. I can not change from picture to movie mode or change flash or scroll back or forth. Any button I touch takes a picture. What's happening?

The camera will work with any computer and operating system.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.
While looking at it in playback mode, press the shutter release button to start the playback. Full details are in the "Video Playback Mode" section beginning on page 49 of the manual.
Unless the video-editing program has a bug, the sound you add to the video will be exactly what you add. The ViviCam doesn't record sound at all, so the only soundtrack will be whatever you add.
The camera has a built-in flash...you can see it on the front of the camera. As for the blurry pics, set the camera on a firm surface and fire off a few shots...are the pics better? If so, then you are the cause of the blur because you move when you press the shutter button.
Make sure you're not in the macro mode. There's a slide switch on the end of the camera, near the SD card slot. Set this switch to the mountain position. Also bear in mind that the flash is for still photos only, not for videos.
Now, if you could just get it to make you breakfast in bed....
Remove the card and battery...press all the buttons...leave it alone for 20 minutes...insert the card and then the battery...turn it on.
