Hi Mr-brain. You actually are already considered an Expert, as are all the people who have answered a question on FixYa. I believe that you are actually asking about becoming a Premium Expert, which would enable you to access our paid system and earn money by providing support.

In order to become a Premium Expert, you must be approved by the staff. I see that you have already applied. Here is some information to help you while you are waiting for your application to be processed:

Hi BluWolve, welcome to FixYa! There are many ways to earn money on FixYa, but it sounds like you're referring to the questions with the green dollar amounts on the buttons. Those are Marketplace Questions, and they represent questions where the asker has indicated their willingness to pay for a successful solution, but has not yet entered a payment. If you post a solution to a Marketplace Question, the asker will have to pay in order to view it. If they do, they will then be able to post comments for you, if they require more info. If you have successfully solved their problem, they can "Accept" your solution, and you will be credited the amount on the button, minus a 15% processing fee (the actual payout is listed on the Post Answer page). If your solution does not solve the problem, or if the asker posts a question and you do not respond within 4 hours, the problem will be reposted for our Premium Expert Team to answer, and you will not receive credit. Since whether you earn money or not is based on the quality of your advice, make sure you're giving the best assistance possible! Follow the advice here, to create great solutions. Hi 03mazda6, welcome to Fixya! Glad to hear that you're interested in providing Premium Phone Support. In order to apply to provide Phone Support, you must first earn at least one Category Expert Badge. You do that by answering at least 50 free, unsolved problems in a given category, receiving at least 5 ratings on those solutions, and maintaining at least an 80% average asker rating on those solutions. There's a module on the right of your Answer Questions page that will help you track your progress towards new Badges. Category Expert Badges you've earned will appear at the top of that module, as well as on the left of your My Profile page. Once you have earned a Category Expertise Badge, you will be able to apply to provide Phone Support via the banner advertising it on your Answer Questions page. You will need a US phone number to apply. FixYa is currently doing a major overhaul on Phone Support, to introduce some key features our Experts requested. While we're working on these changes, we will not be doing Phone Support interviews or approving new Experts. However, as soon as the changes are complete, hopefully within the month, we will immediately start approving new Experts for the system. What did you select as your "preferred payment method" ???

At the start of each month, FixYa calculates your total Premium Assistance earnings for the previous month. If your earnings total $50 or more, FixYa notifies Payoneer of your pending earnings payment by the 3rd business day of the next month. Payoneer then processes and sends your earnings via your preferred payment method, which takes up to 2 business days to complete.

I'd contact the nearest Service Center found on the Brother.com website. They don't appear to sell them on their website.
