You can buy the screen. However, it would have to be used. You will have to purchase it from ebay, or you can do a search for one in Google. It is not a simple fix so if you do not have much experience with laptop repair I would not recommend trying to repair them.

You could buy I'm sure, and probably if you find instructions and are good with computers and your hands that it would be possible. If more things end up broken when trying to fix them, I would just buy a new laptop. As it will cost between $100 to $200 dollars to have fixed. You could still use that one with an external monitor though, or if your lucky find a high rated seller of a used screen where you can just unhook wires and unscrew yours and then screw yours in and hook up wires and done. Hope this helps, if anymore questions just ask.

My packard bell dots won't accept my password

You can remove or change the Window's User or administrator's password. You need access to a computer with Internet access to download the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD. Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot up the laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. There are very useful utilities CD and it a Linux boot CD which contains quite a lot of Utility programs including a password removal program. Wow, it's about time to dump the Packard Bell. Maybe the Video Card has gone bad in the Packard Bell and if you fix it your old monitor might work.

Some programs need a substantial amount of RAM and in case of computers with smaller RAM, they tend to freeze. Either close some of the running programs or increase the RAM capacity. In every likelihood it should work.

I want to reformat PB MS2303

Packard Bell is a computer manufacturer, now owned by Acer. Restoring your computer will erase the hard drive and install a fresh copy of Microsoft Windows. This is beneficial if the Packard Bell is showing its age and running extremely slow or has been hit with an incurable virus infection. Before attempting to restore the system, be sure to back up any data you wish to save.

1.Insert the Windows Setup CD/DVD into the computer's optical drive. The disc will have been included with the Packard Bell computer.

2.Restart the computer with the disc inserted. A black screen will appear when the disc is detected, displaying "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD..." Press any key on the keyboard to launch the Windows installer. The "Install Windows" screen will appear.

3.Click "Next."

4.Select "I accept the license terms" and click "Next."

5.Click "Custom" when asked what type of installation you'd like. The other option is "Upgrade," but in order to restore your Packard Bell system to its factory settings, you must reformat the hard drive.

6.Click "Drive Options" when asked where to install Windows. Select the C: drive and click "Erase." Select the unallocated space after it has been erased, and click "Format." Format the space using the "NTFS" file system.

7.Click "Next" and Windows will begin reinstalling on the Packard Bell's hard drive. The system will reboot when finished and launch into your newly restored Packard Bell.

I have a packard bell easynote rs65 and my screen (13.3 inch)broke. i'm confident i can replace it myself but i can't take the front off fully enough to take out the screen, which i need to do to...

Hi,
Usually to replace a LCD screen on a laptop there are screws holding the front plastic cover in place.
On top of the screws there could be little rubber covers approx 3mm to 8mm in diameter.
Located on the top and bottom corners of the screen which you can peel off with a fine blade or screwdriver.
Sometimes they also have a screw behind the model label, bottom center of screen.
Once all the screws are off, the cover just clips off.

I hope this was helpful for you .

Packard bell easy note tj65 will not power up

the short cable running from the power button to the main board has probably snapped where it passes over the RH hinge. remove the screen surround to gain access to the power on switch area and check. it would seem to be a common fault with the packard bell
