I have just refilled by hot tub with a balboa 500z pump. After refilling it the pump is working fine but the jets are not. The dr light has come up. Please can someone help me bleed the pump to get it operational again. I would be grateful for lots of detail. Thanks

The water jet motor is most likely defective.

That error means that the tub was drained. Reset the controller and it will be fine.

Is the voltage correct ?

Located behind the access panel there is a grey box that is the spa pack. Open that up with the 2 screws on the top of the pack. There is a small glass fuse on the circuit board. One of those fuses is most likely blown. If that is not the culprit you need a new topside control. More than likely it's the fuse.

I have a question about my Balboy 500Z. When the water is heated the motor pump is still running that means the pump runs all the time without interrupt even the water has it's temperature. A lot of times you can get an air lock as the spa fills. All you need to do to fix this is open the drain valve for a few seconds till it runs just water and no air. Or start the pump wile the drain is open. This should fix your problem. Good luck.

I have a 6 month old Balboa 500Z. I have noticed that the filter system tis running all the time 24/7. I have reset the filter cycle to run for 2 hours { F2 }. It still is running all the time. It dose not seem to make a difference what I set the cycle for it just keeps running

there will be the same amount of basic maintenance on either spa. The difference will be in water chemistry. you definitely want an ozone generator on either spa. Both are awesome Mfg of spas. they both have been around since the 1980's
Ozone will keep the water cleaner, fresher smelling and reduce the total amount of traditional chemicals used in any hot tub.
There are many other solutions for taking care of water chemistry out there without using the traditional types.
some are all natural.
