Hi, I am currently using a Sony Ericsson w508 mobile phone, I tried to transfer my text messages to my computer via both PC Suite and PC Companion for many times already but none of them work. They simply don't start transferring text messages. My messages are all stored at the phone memory so it should not be problems concerning this. I really wish to backup my text messages, do u know what problems might be involved?

Pc suit is for nokia and Pc companion for sony.
update the pc companion and try.

you have to install PC suite first..and then start to sync files between pc and mobile...if you have already done that and doesnt work..try using the data cable...

you can transfer your text messages to your PC by installing a software on your PC called Jeyo Mobile Companion. download this software, install it and then connect your phone with the PC. once synchronized, you will be able to transfer all your text messages to your PC as a "Notepad" document! i hope this works for yah.. for your other question, go to start then settings, then "sounds and notifications", then go to the "notifications" tab, then in the "event" pull down menu select "messaging:new text message" and then check the "play sound" check box and then select any sound you would like. simple isn't it? ;)
