If your picture has a 3D effect and you try to align with the cross hatches, then you have a convergence issue. I usually change both convergence IC's and any resistors that are open in the circuit. It requires unsoldering and soldering in the new convergence IC's. To locate the IC's, you can identify them as two side by side black chips about 3 inches by 2 inches with 18 pins each soldered to the board and on a metal heat sink. The numbers on them are identical and start as STK 392- 120 or 110. It is quite a job even for a skilled tv tech. After installing them and any resistor that is open, you will be able to align the cross hatches.
