I have a mitsubishi HD1080 series TV and wanted to know how do I plug in a dvd player. Then how do I get it to play.

Connect an HDMI cable from the DVD's HDMI port to an unused HDMI port on the TV. Select the input from the settings menu and name it DVD or select the DVD name. Turn the DVD player ON. Using the input select button on the remote, select the HDMI DVD input. Wait a few seconds while the TV and DVD player establish a connection. The DVD player menu should appear. Insert a DVD and enjoy a movie. Hope this helps. Regards.

Vga input to my mitsubishi Medallion hdtv 1080 doesn't work

You can't just plug in the input and expect it to work. You have to bring up the input selection screen on the TV first and select that specific input. Read the manual to see how to select different inputs and you should be fine.

How to configure Mitsubishi tv to setup Sony blu ray player

The set should in owner manual have detailed instructions with diagrams etc.

Basic is from player outputs (whichever it uses) HDMI, component etc OUT to the same on the set(usually into a rear input) IN, select that input on the TV and if player good you should have a working system.

When you want to go to use the player select that input (most Mitsubishi sets will allow you to change from input # and label that input DVD etc--that's in the TV setup menu most of the time.

The more things you have connected to the set the more complex it can get.

My TV signal source is a cable/satellite digital box. The setup screen correctly takes me as far as "Select correct input source for set top box." At this point - instead of leaving the...

I would suggest using dedicated input button on remote, not the menu on the tv. If you can skip setup screen that would be best. I have just looked at the manual for that tv, it tells you all you need to know, depending upon which input you used for your box. As I stated use the direct input button on the remote if you have it.

Mitsubishi 56 inch rear projection TV

A 22 code in Mitsubishi is a short circuit that is causing your set to go into protective shut down. Check the horizontal output and low voltage regulators for being shorted. Let me know if I can help you further, or if you need any additional info.
