I bought two rca mp3 players about one year ago I payed about $30.00 ea. for them the ear phones went bad I have bought 5 sets and only one side will play I dont think bouth mp3 players went bad at the same time

there are 6 jacks on the front on our USA model same/.

12 phones left is L/R phones only ear phones
the next to 13. are buttons to pick speaker set A or B
on the right on USA model are inputs
that can be connected to old DVD players, analog out.
or any RCA jacked device made (called line out to these jacks)
video jack is only for composite video sources.
video , left and right audio.
and last is jack. called "portable"any portable player with this cable works, (mp3 players phones) or other things.
portable mini jack is in fact stereo
but the source must be stereo too or will fail.
my wild wild guess is you connected something to jack portable
and forgot to say what. (and fails here) we can not guess and not fail..



the manual is free but does not cover, using bad devices inputted
a good test of far right jack is MP3 portable player stereo player and with a high quality MP3 song track
or a player DVD or player does WAV or FLAC.
for bass the source must be good.

What typically happens is that the base of the wire gets stressed from wrapping the cord around your media player and it eventually breaks the copper wire inside of the insulation. You likely can not even see the damage, let alone repair it. Be more careful with the next set, and might I recommend a set of AKG ear buds. I use AKG studio headphones and bought my little sister some AKG ear buds, very impressive quality very close to my studio headphones. AKG K 313

It is the ear buds, not the player. These ear buds marked for iPods but cost $10.oo or so do this, I went thru 3 sets before I gave up and went to a $29.oo set that I have had now for 5 months.

if its mini usb then you can get that cord just about anywhere if its a custom cable then you'll have to goto the rca website and order one from them

i just click computer....click opal.....click folder that says music....and drag music in the folders.....that works for me

My had the same problem except mine has turned yellow tint. I paid 65 dollars for someone to come and look at it and they told me that is was the Blue tube went out. They qouted me 700.00 to fix it.

i think the antenna is in the phone wiring...but try this as a test: purchase a "Y" headphone splitter and plug that into the player then pug each set of headphones in...any improvement? if so, the phones you purchased do work but not same wiring configuration as original.
