Wii Fit I have a new Wii Fit and in setting up I can't seem to get past the Sync setup. I press both the Sync button on the battery cover of the Wii Board and on the Wii console and nothing happens.

Same problem - can't sync - the disc went through the update, then we retried - by pressing both at same time, then again by just activating board and then pressing sync on Wii console (no, we did not hold buttons down..) Blue light on board just keeps flashing...........

If I remember correctly, both sync buttons need to pressed at the same time. If you still have problems, hold down both sync buttons until you hear the sync tone from your TV (sounds like a sonar). If holding down both sync buttons fail, try to sync your Wiimote to make sure it is the Balance Board and not your Wii.

How can i re connect the wii fit balance board to my wii ?

Synching can be completed only if a compatible game disc is running in the console. Compatible game discs (such as Wii Fit) will display the Wii Balance Board icon on their packaging.
The Wii Balance Board must be synced to each compatible game individually.
These sync settings will be saved even after the console is turned off.

Follow these directions to sync the Wii Balance Board (so that it is recognized by the Wii console):

Insert a Wii Balance Board compatible game disc (such as Wii Fit) in the Wii console.

Use the Wii Remote to select the Disc Channel from the Wii Menu, then select "Start" to begin the game.

Open the SD Card slot cover on the front of the Wii console.

Remove the Battery Cover on the bottom of the Wii Balance Board.

Press and release the SYNC button on the Wii Balance Board. The Power LED on the board will start blinking.

Press and release the SYNC button on the console while the Power LED on the board is still blinking.

The Power LED will stop blinking and light steadily once the synchronization is complete.

How do you sync the wii console and wii fit board

Put the Wii Fit game disc in the Wii and start the game. Then open the small SD Card slot cover on the front of the Wii console then remove the battery cover on the bottom of the Wii Balance Board. Press and release the SYNC button on the Wii Balance Board. The light on the board should start blinking. Afterwards press and release the red SYNC button on the Wii console while the light on the board is still blinking. The light on the balance board will stop blinking and stay on steady once the syncronization is successful.

How do you sync the wii fit board and wii console

  • Put four AA batteries into the battery housing located on the underside of the Wii Balance Board.

  • Insert a Wii Balance Board compatible game into the Wii system.

  • Select the "Disc Channel" on the screen with the Wii remote, and choose "Start."

  • Open the SD card slot to reveal a sync button on the Wii system. This is located behind a cover under the power and eject buttons.

  • Turn the Wii Balance Board upside down.

  • Remove the battery cover under the balance board to reveal another sync button.

  • Pres the sync button on the balance board, then press the sync button on the Wii. Do not hold down the buttons. You know it is synchronized when the blue light on the Wii Balance Board stays steady

  • Place the board on a flat surface directly in front of the TV. Face the power button away from the TV.

    Wii fit board won't work

    Hello,

Here you have different procedures on what to do if you get that error message. Please get back to me if nothing works.

    The exact procedure is:

    • Even if the battery level is strong, try the following:

Remove the batteries in the Wii Fit Board for at least 1 minute…… better 15

    Try these steps!

1 Turn the Wii console power OFF by pressing the POWER Button on the front of the console. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet for a few seconds. After a few seconds have elapsed, plug the cord back into the wall outlet.

2 Turn the power of the Wii console ON. When you see the Health and Safety screen, open the small flap on the front of the Wii console to find a red button labeled "SYNC." Press and hold the SYNC Button down for 15 seconds. This will clear all the syncs on the Wii, allowing you to get a clean start to begin the process described below.

3 After holding the SYNC Button on the Wii console down for at least 15 seconds, you can now "re-sync" your Wii Remotes:

a With the first Wii Remote you wish to sync, remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote to find a small red button just below the batteries.

b Press and release the small red button just below the batteries on the Wii Remote; the blue lights on the front of the Wii Remote will blink.

c Quickly press and release the red SYNC button on the inside of the white flap on the front of the Wii console (picture).

d When the Player LED blinking stops and stays lit, the syncing is complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number (1 through 4).

4 Start the game from the Wii Menu, then sync the Wii Balance Board from the opening screen of the game.

    Hope it helped.

Try first press and hold the red SYNC button on the Wii console (open the SD Card slot cover on the front of the Wii console, the button is just below the disc drive) for 15 seconds. This will clear all synced Wii things from the console. Now sync all back.Push the red sync button on the console, then open the batteries cover on your Wii Remote and push the red button there. Then sync also Wii fit.

Wii Fit board not staying on

Best suggestion is to make sure the game is fully loaded before pressing the power button.

If it's not working, make sure you press the red sync button on the Wii Fit Balance Board AND the Wii Console.

I know you tried new batteries, but make sure they are really NEW batteries (My experience is that the alkalines work best).

If it still doesn't work, then you may need to contact Nintendo direct.

    Good luck!

    Opposite to what it asks

Does this react in the same way when your leaning forward and backward (doing the opposite)?
The Wii Fit board should have the power button facing you when you use it.
Also you can try re-syncing the Wii Board.
    1.  Take off the battery cover on the board and press the red sync button. 2.  Go to your Wii, open the small cover under the disc drive and press the red sync button.
I believe you can also recalibrate the board via settings in the Wii Fit game main menu.
