Monitor or pcu problem

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following

Take it to a repair shop.

Run a full scan using your anti-virus program to see if it will track down anything, next go to www.download.com Type: malwarebytes anti-malware and run the program with a full scan, "free" this program find just about anything that is lerking in your computer. Now! if all this fails, do a complete fresh install of your operational system.

That sounds like a very typical issue with "Viewsonic " monitors. The issue is with the screen.

Reconnect the old monitor.
Start Windows.
Right-mouse click anywhere on your "wallpaper".
Click Properties.
Click Settings.
Move the slider to 800-by-600 or 1024-by-768.
Click Apply
In 'Advanced', set the refresh-rate to 60 Hertz.
Click OK.
Shutdown.
Reconnect the new monitor.
Restart your computer.
Right-mouse click anywhere on your "wallpaper".
Click Properties.
Click Settings.
Now try moving the slider to higher values.
If the screen goes blank, wait 15 seconds, and Windows will cancel your change to a higher value.

check the wiring inside the monitor, pull the sceen out and move the wires with the screen on so you can see when it's working. then tape the wires where it works.

Its definetely the monitor thats having a problem. when it blacks out during th monitor self test. i suggest you can ask for a replacement monitor.

Sounds like GPU failure. unfortunately its nigh on impossible to replace without replacing the whole board which can be expensive. I saw a few on ebay for around £120.
