My radio shack pro- 508 scanner has not been plug up in years i want too find a way to get a frequent too listen too the scanner

I think that google could have video's about what to do and how to fix your pro 508 squelch from Radio Shack.

Check on eBay. You need a standard BNC connector antenna for this scanner. Radio Shack scanners are made by Uniden so a Uniden BNC antenna will fit your unit.

Your scanner is at least 8 years old, so the board is out of production. If Radio Shack can't order it you're just not going to find it. If you're really interested in keeping a scanner of this age, you might want to check eBay. They currently have two PRO-82's listed . . .

The PRO-2021 has a, "Electro Luminescence" (lighting) panel mounted behind the LCD display which has likely died of old age. The panel is Radio Shack part number L-1976 (GE-85D-6067), but with your scanner being out of production for about 25 years, the part will be just about impossible to find.

The screw-in antenna for your scanner is Radio Shack Catalog number 10538353. You should be able to purchase one, or order one, from your local Radio Shack. Also check eBay - but make sure that it's the correct antenna for you scanner. Not all screw-in antennas have the same thread size. Check prices closely. Considering the age and limited capability of your scanner, you might be better off purchasing a new or used scanner rather than an antenna for the 508.

my scanner stop scanning and stays in one program

Need to do a hard reset, turn power off, then back on. Hold down [CLEAR], press the reset button on the back then release [CLEAR]. I found it in the manual for the Pro-2018.
