That erro does not show up in the diagnostics section, here is how to reset the unit:
MP150/160 resetting errors
1) With the printer powered off but connected to a power source, press the Power button while pressing and holding
the Stop/ Reset button.
2) When the Power LED is lit, press the Stop/Reset button two times while pressing and holding the Power button.
3) When releasing the Power button and the Stop / Reset button (regardless of order), the printer will move into a
service mode. (Waiting for menu selection)
4) When the LED lights in green, press the Stop/Reset button the specified number of time(s) according to the
function listed in the table below.(Each time the Stop/Reset button is pressed, the LED lights alternately in
orange and green, starting with orange.)

SOURCE: mp190 printer keeps giving me an E2 error
When the printer is not functioning properly you may need to reset it:
1) Press and hold <On/Off> for one second. Display will go blank. (If this does not happen, unplug the printer).
2) Wait approx. 10 seconds
3) Plug in the device - Press <On/Off> if necessary to power on the printer
4) Wait until the device has finished its startup routine
If the problem still persists, your MP190 may need servicing by a qualified technician.

i got a same prob..i can't print,scan and copy and the refill warning always appeared..i hv refill the cartridge and i shut it down and try again and again..it's the cartridge prob or the printer prob..?
The error code you are referring to, which is "E 5" , it indicates one of the following:
1. The FINE cartridge can not be recognized, possibly non-compatible ink cartridge
2. The FINE cartridge may not be installed properly.
