Ear loop broken-purchased loops and they snap and break

The ear loop for the Plantronics Explorer 232 Bluetooth headset can be replaced, the replacement ear loop model number is 80334-01.

Plantronics does make a replacement ear loop for the Explorer 232, the model number is 80334-01. You may want to buy a few while they are still available for that discontinued headset, see the link below for the part.

Depending on the manufacturer, they may not even sell just the loop. Go to their website and see if they list where their products are sold. Check ebay...

I found the answer!

Call LG at 800-793-8896, they will send you a free "complimentary" replacement. I asked for two, just in case!

You can contact LG customer Service at 800-793-8896 and request one. I just called this morning (9/09/09) and they are on backorder and submitted a request to send me out one free.

The round portion that has the smaller hole in the center, with the small extension, goes into your ear. The squarish loop then needs to be rotated to out, so that it is "hooked" into the curve of your ear. Try different sizes to get the right fit of the loop (the bodies are identical).

When I purchased my blindstitch machine, I was also told to kind of snap the fabric as you pulled it our of the machine. Like you, I found that to be a little risky. Sometimes I'd just unravel what I'd sewn. I have found the most dependable thing to do is: Before removing the fabric from the machine, snip the thread between the fingers of the looper as it approaches the needle. If the loop is broken, the chain stitch will not pull out. If you cut the loop as it approaches the needle, you will get a bit longer tail so the needle doesn't come unthreaded on the next run. If you find you need a bit longer thread tail, you can pull a bit on that loop before cutting. As long as the needle has passed through the loop on the previous stitch, you'll be fine.

I just called LG (800-243-0000) for the same problem and they said that they are sending me a new earhook and it should be here in 2-3 weeks. We'll see if I actually get it.
