If you don't have software, you can remove the SD card and transfer the files directly.

Where can I find a free down load for the software needed to up load my pics from my camera to my PC. Its a Vivitar Vivicam X029 I lost the CD,..and for the life of me can't find a serial number on...

You don't need any special software.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Windows Photo Gallery or Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Most photo cataloging programs will also recognize your camera if you choose to use the USB connection instead of a card reader.

I bought a used dxg 587v camcorder but did not get the cd-rom with application software. Can I down load software or do I need cd-rom and where are these items available

Here is the Manual for your DXG-587V Camcorder: DXG-587V HD User's Manual

I could only find the drivers for the DXG-589V Camcorder, and since I don't have a DXG-587V I can't test if the installation works or not, but it is worth a try. Here is your driver download: DXG-589V

Install the software after you download the driver. Plug in your Camcorder after the installation is complete. Your operating system should recognize the Camcorder and install the drivers.

If this driver doesn't work for you, you can contact DXG Customer Support to see if they can send you a Driver Disk, or a link to a working driver: http://www.dxgusa.com/online-help

Failure to download clips to the PC from my camcorder SDR-H80

HI Yahiya. Most likely you previously installed videocam suite software using the NTSC format. Try reinstalling it using PAL format. This is the same problem i encountered on a Panasonic SDR-H90. I hope this will solve your problem.

My computer does not reconize my camera when I try to down load pictures with my zoom browser. The camera is a Canon PowerShot SD450 Digitial Elph

You need to install the drivers for your camcorder, before you conncet your camcorder to your PC.

The drivers are in the CD which came with your camcorder. follow these steps

1- inser the CD( If you do not have your CD go the link below to download it

http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=DownloadDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=323&modelid=11939)
2- select install drivers
3- after drivers are installed, Connect your camcorder to your PC, turn it on and follow the screen untill it states your camcorder is installed and ready
4- Now if you click start, then computer you should see an icon which has all or part of canon powershot SD450. Double click on this icon. You would see one or more folders with your pictures and videos stored in it.

You may now download, copy, delete etc all of them.

JVC Everio movie producer software

I have it and would be willing to send you a copy if you can tell me how to download the blankety blank videos onto my computer. I'm not sure the software is even loading right...but I'm going crazy. I've had the camera for almost a year and everytime I sit down with everything and say "today is the day", I'm proven wrong.
