I have a casio CE3700 cash register. The machine locked up. I followed the normal procedures to resolve this, however when I turned the power back on from the socket the machine fails to turn on at all now. No power at all. I replaced the fuse on the plug but still no luck. Please help.

It sounds like there is a good reason for it locking up the first time then. Most commonly it is caused by a printer problem. Most Casio models will run the printer before they turn the display on, so if you can't hear the printer run at turn on, I'd start there. Look for paper jams. make sure the motor can turn freely. If the motor is okay, check the battery. You can experience weird problems if the battery has not been replaced on time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We have bought a cafe and the second hand Casio TE 4000f electronic cash register but it appears to have frozen so we cant enter any date. The display says PGMX and the amount 0.00 is displayed. Even...

PGMX means the machine is trying to print a current program report. It may have been interrupted. Try this procedure to jump it back out:
Turn key to PROGRAM mode. Turn power off at wall. Hold RECEIPT FEED down - keep your finger on it. Turn power on at wall. Wait 5 seconds, then let go of RECEIPT FEED. You should see "FFFFFFFFFF" on display. Press SUBTOTAL. Turn key back to REG mode (you may need to sign on if asked)

I'm showing E94 yet don't have a paper jam how do i fix this?

I assume this is a Casio. If so, it is probably one of the little cheap machines. this is common. It is caused by the sensor getting dirty in the printer. If you want to clean it, follow the printer wires. The sensor strips are under black plastic. Handle it carefully. It is fragile.

Cash register

If its the machine I think it is its a Casio CE3700 and the printer is locked up. you have to find the cause of the lock up. It could be from never running the journal paper and the platen getting caught up. It could be a motor or a paper jam. It could have the geneva gear out of time. Any of those possibilities and more. The CPU could not be sending the cycle pulse of the driver opened up. It most likely needs dealer attention

I have a Casio CE-3700 cash register. How do I

I found the service manual here:

ftp://ftp.totalpos.co.nz/Oldmanuals/Casio-CE3700.pdf

It is New Zealand, and the file is a little over 3 MB. If you have a problem, contact me and I can email it to you.

It has a section on programming the CE-3700.

Casio CE-3700 cash register MAC instructions

Hi. I would advise both of you to try a flag clear first to see if you have any program left.

Turn key to program. Power off at wall.
Hold RECEIPT FEED, and turn power on at wall.
Wait 10 seconds, then let go of RECEIPT FEED.
When you see 'FFFFFFFFF' press SUBTOTAL.
Turn key back to REG and try it.

If you still need help, let me know.
