What do I do now that my county has gone digital, Does that mean that my PRO-82 is useless now or what?? DISTRISS WHAT DO I DO????

Check your antenna connections, if the connections are good then try a different antenna. Most likely that is the problem if it's the scanner. If your trying to scan Public Safety Frequencies you may be running into a situation where they have gone Digital and your scanner is Analog or they may have encrypted their frequency or control channels so the scanners won't work.

That means that you have on programs in your scanner...you have program loss hit your program button and you can start programming your frequencies......

That means you have to put new batteries in your scanner... or recharge your rechargable batteries but if you use rechargable batteries use your yellow battery cradle for rechargeable batteries and your black cradle for alakline batteries....foe pro 82...

There are several websites and books you can buy. I would try 'radio reference DOT com' for your state. Realize that your scanner CANNOT do DIGITAL, so if there is a digital system in your city/county/parish, your radio will not work. It will however still work on weather, Skywarn, ham radio frequencies and some more rurual police, fire and businesses.

That Battery is probably a 3 Volt Button Cell so reading 3.4 Volts means the battery doesn't have a load on it, which could mean that the soldering on the board is bad and is also why when you touched it with the toothpick it would turn on for a bit cause you would have pushed it to where the circuit was completed.

is it a digital scanner? You know that everyone has gone digital there fore making that kind of scanner outdated and if you are trying to listen to police u wont pick anything up. I was told that some raido shacks will re program it for you.
