Check the spped control pot and the throttle pot. You will need a ohm meter to check both pots Usually replacing the speed pot will help but it could be both speed and throttle pot Hope this helps

Mini crosser typ M1 stopped working whilst being used. Batteries test out OK. When power is turned on the following lights flash:- 2 red, 4 amber, 4 green. Scooter is about a year old, had little use...

the standard error code you describe list this:

"Over voltage detected. This can happen with a bad battery connection although unlikely. More likely your battery charger is faulty and is overcharging your batteries quite severely."

so i would check this out first.

Old Zippy electric scooter has little power and dies after about 20minutes. Batteries have been checked by an "expert" and passed OK. Can see no excessive current drain.

Well Richard I guess there's nothing wrong if the expert said the batteries were good. Could be in need of brushes on the motor. There should be caps over the brushes that can be removed to check the brushes. If they have excessive wear say 3/8 inches long or less then they need to be replaced. But my first fix would be to replace the batteries, give them a good charge before use and see if that increases your drive time. Of course replacing worn brushes can't hurt either. Good luck hope this helps

I will drive for about a mile with full power with little power lose.then all of a sudden, ill have extreme power loss . within 1quarter mile ill lose all power.something drains the batteries

Batteries do not provide a linear output during usage, but having it die out within a mile or so tells me that one of the battery cells is becoming weaker than the rest. If you're a handyman, you can save yourself a ton of money by replacing only the batteries (try interstate batteries) instead of going to the scooter store and purchasing the batteries and case.

My Mother has a Pride Sundancer 3 Wheel Electric Scooter and it has stopped working. We put new batteries in it and it still doesn't run. My husband played around a little with it and it started. Mom drove...

dcreek do you have power to the console? Are you getting any error code flashes on the console? If it just loses power and cuts completly off check your connections on the batteries ie are the cables tight on the post or tabs. Also check the circuit breaker and the fuse on the battery pack. Make sure that the battery pack is well seated in its place on the scooter. You might try removing the battery pack and look closely at the contacts under the battery pack and on the scooter frame make sure none of them (contacts) are bent or crooked and that they are clean. I have a troubleshooting guide I can send you via e-mail if you will e-mail me @ [email protected]

Hope this helps

Rascal scooter no forward or reverse or seat rise

Does the scooter have any power to it at all? Have you recently charged the batteries? If the scooter has been sitting unused for a while the batteries may not take a full charge and need to be replaced. If the batteries are good, check the fuses and all of the battery connections to ensure nothing has come lose. Sounds like a power issue.
Good luck!

Hi My wife has a Golden Companion GC 221, has new

Has the scooter been stored for a while? It sounds like there are damaged cells in the batteries. This can cause the charger to register a full charge when actually the batteries are nearly empty. When you operate the scooter, you cannot get full power because the batteries just don't have it to give. Try replacing the batteries to see if that solves that problem.
