Your taskbar may have been unlocked and moved to the top of your desktop. I'll continue under that assumption.

  1. Right-click on your taskbar. If checked, un-check 'Lock the Taskbar'. Otherwise, skip to Step 3.
  2. Left-click on your taskbar and drag it to the bottom of your desktop. This is the original position of the taskbar.
  3. Right-click on your taskbar. Check 'Lock the Taskbar'. (OPTIONAL)

EDIT: Step 1 is incorrect. Omit "Otherwise, skip to Step 3."

    1. Right-click on your taskbar. If checked, un-check 'Lock the Taskbar'.

I cannot clear a 'to a location' screen

I too was frustrated with this one. I played with the watch until I found the solution... Hope this helps!

For some reason I needed to be in the training mode to do this.

From the Time/Date mode, do the following:
1.) Press the start/stop button (upper metal button) to get out of Time/Date mode
2.) Press the Training side of the bezzle. You will see a workout display.
3.) Touch the GPS side of the bezzle until "to location" shows up
4.) Press the lap/reset button (lower metal button) to display a menu (may have to do this a couple of times, eventually when you release the button the menu does show up)
5.) Slide downward through the menu options until you find GPS
6.) Click the start/stop button (upper metal button) to toggle the gps on or off
7.) Press the lap/reset button (lower metal button) to exit the menu (goes to the "to a location" screen)
8.) Press and hold the Training side of the bezzle to return to your training screen

Top screen goes opaque white, but looks fine with pressed L button.

Puchigusu,

You have a defective flatcable of the upper screen, or the calble is not correct seated in the connector on the systemboard.
The upper screen connector is on the bottom side of the Left button-switch.

If the flatcable is defective (most likely because of the open-close actions every time the DS Lite is used) you have to replace the complete upper screen (the cable cannot be removed without replacing the whole screen).

First try to reseat the flatcable in the connector. If that is not working, replace the screen (manuals how to open the DS Lite etc etc can be found on the Internet)
