you can download the manuals free of charge from WWW.garmin.com. Your gps is the 200 series, so the 205 should work as well.

Here is the link for the full Nuvi 200 manual. No, you do not need to send the unit back. You can purchase a map online and download the map to your Nuvi using a USB to mini-USB cable.

I HAVE A NEW GARMIN NUVI 200 GPS THAT I GOT FOR CHRISTMAS. IN THE BOX I JUST OPENED WAS A CAR CHARGER AND NOTHING ELSE. I HAVE NO CLUE HOW TO GET THIS THING STARTED OR HOW TO USE IT.. CAN ANYONE HELP ME?
I'm almost sure you can go to the Garmin web site and downoad the manual for the 200. If you charge up the GPS and look in the files on the GPS you may find the manual in there. It is in my Garmin 660. Give it a try.
