Take it apart by peeling away rubber cover and then remove two mounting screws. Carefully split cases and see where parts are arranged just in case they shift. Laser and lens frequently get jarred loose ESP in a golf cart environment. Place laser and lens if loose back in mounts and gluon in place with superglue or equivalent. Make sure to get no glue on lenses. Reassemble and it should be good to go again. Total time. Ten minutes maybe.

What is the difference between Hunting vs Golfing Rangefinders?

If you want to buy a rangefinder then you would have a question at some point. Can you use a rangefinder for both golfing and hunting? Can you save a few bucks buying one rangefinder?
The answer is Yes, you can. You can use a laser rangefinder for both activities if you choose a smart device that has features to serve both golfing and hunting adequately. You just need to know the basic differences between golf and hunting rangefinders and some limitations.
Fast of all you have to know, what is golf rangefinder and hunting rangefinder.
Golf Rangefinder Golf rangefinders seek for the nearest flag stick for the measuring the distance in an open field.
Hunting Rangefinder
The rangefinders always are in "Distant Target Mode" by default to spot wildlife in wooden terrains. This target set automatically ignores close objects that could obstruct your view.

Here I wrote the 3 difference, you should remember that:

1. First Target And Distant Target Modes

Golfers need "First Target Mode" to detect the near objects like flag or pin in an open golf ground. Hunting rangefinders rarely good at detecting close objects. For hunting, "Distant Target Mode" is appropriate to range a target past the wood. Modern rangefinders come with toggling options between both first target and distant target modes, but they are expensive.
2.Quick And Accurate Reading
Golfing rangefinders detect the object quickly, and hunting rangefinders give the accurate reading. It is true that golf rangefinders do not need to be as precise as hunting one. Hunters want to make sure that their prey can be perfectly located.
3. Magnification Strength
You might be aware of the fact that Hunting rangefinders always have more magnification than the Golf Rangefinders. Golfers need the distance of the next hole, which could be maximum 400 yards. For the bow hunters and hunting, 400 yards rangefinders are also appropriate. In case of rifle hunting or long-distance shooting sports, you will be needed maximum 1000 to 1500 yards ranges.

Now you know what the basic differences between the golf and hunting rangefinders are. You can start choosing your suitable one.

Which is the best golf laser range finder?

Bushnell Scout DX Rangefinder is a good one for golf.
It's a fantastic rangefinder.
It offers some amazing feature and specification like...
  • 6x magnification.
  • Range between 5-1000 yards.
  • 3-volt CR2 Battery.
  • Rangefinder Accuracy 5 yards.
The Bushnell Scout DX Rangefinder will help you to pick from 3 different user modes by pressing the Mode button at the left side of the unit. First is the usual mode which can be used for most purposes up to 1000 meters and works well towards the pretty reflective surface.
When turned on, the Scout 1000 Laser Rangefinder liquid crystal display (LCD) will directly display icons like the bow and rifle mode. The bow mode will provide you with true horizontal distances from 5-99yd away, depending on the angle. The rifle mode, however, will permit you to get the angle and drop/holdover of your shot to the target from 100-800yd.

I purchased a new LR 559 Callaway golf rangefinder from a QVC auction. The problem with it is it isnt even close to accurate. I have a measured archery range back to 65 yards and the rangefinder is way off...

its a piece of ****, that happens when you arder through qvc. When you arder electronic devices for weights or measurements, first you must know exactly what you are looking at, make, model, and series,,, then read all of the reviews you can,, then go to a pro store-- (like our shop we are a pro archery shop) we refuse to work on peoples bows they bring in that they bought online, because half the time they recieved something that they did not order, they dont look like they did in the picture that the seller posted... always read reviews and ask the professionals.... I would return the item even if it was an auction, if you cant return it then ebay it-- but be honest when you post descriptions of the item, and the problems that you may be experiencing, trust me the buyers will appreciate it...

I have a Bushnell Medalist Pinseeker golf laser rangefinder. I recently replaced the battery with a 9V Duracell Alkaline, and now the Pinseeker mode is not working (it will not sight different targets) and...

The "Pinseeker" mode is a automatic mode Sometimes it uses it, somtimes it doesn't. It is designed to recognize a vertical shaft. (Pin) Now IF you hold the power button down....you can see if all of the LCD segments are burning. If the segments fade out later in the game.... (bad LCD) Make sure the Pinseeker mode it on...(flag symbol on the left) Hit the button on the side if you need to. IF it still doesn't lock on to pins, it needs an alignment.

Bushnell rangefinder laser 400 golf shows an E 6 at the bottom and thats it. How to fix? its a 97 only used for golf worked fine put new battery in this year and I got the E-6 error

E6 means the unit has cpu or program failure....The only thing that bushnell can do is replace your unit with a newer one Its over 10 years old..... They won't have any parts or able to reprogram it.(they just do keep parts that long) They will offer you a model 20-1916 ($151.00 bill) (you can it see it @ bushnell .com.) The better model is........if you play golf is the Medelist(20-1354) or the Tour V2(20-1930).....The top of the line is the Pinseeker 1600(20-5105 without the slope function) or the Pinseeker 1600(20-5106 with the slope function).......If you hunt I would go with the model (20-1932 with the ARC fuction..... This is the real deal....call them
