Phone noise I have a GE series 28112 Dect.6.0 phones (3) phones and when someone calls me, I cannot hear them. Terrible humming noise. I have to use my cell phone to call someone. Tries to call Thomson Inc. with my problem but can't seem to get the right person to answer my questions. What do I do now?

How close were you to the base unit when you recorded the message? The manual suggests 9 inches from your mouth to the mic on the unit. Also speak loudly when you make the recording. Yes, you can re-record the message. In fact, you can record two messages and use whichever one fits your immediate circumstances.
