Ok, go through this check list and reply with the answers (i will start with some simple stuff and go into more advanced)

*is it plugged in?
*if there is a switch on the back of the case, is it turned on?
*does the motherboard get voltage (you would notice a light on the motherboard)
*is the PC plugged into a power strip?
*was there recently a storm or power outage?
*does the PC beep when you turn it on?

just give me some simple yes or no answers and ill be able to identify the problem.

570wcd-44-rm5 failed spndle test

Optical drive failed the Spindle test.

Make sure the SATA power cable, and SATA data cable; are tight to the optical drive. Still no? Replace optical drive.

I have a dell inspiron 570 desktop and instead of going to sleep it shuts completely down. I was told it is hybernating so how do I disable the hybernation so all it does is go to sleep until I shut it...

Start>control panel>power > find the settings for sleep/hibernation/screen saver
Also, check all your settings at the screen saver level by right-clicking the desktop. There can be some funky stuff set in here.

Dell Inspiron 570 goes into power save mode after start up

Sometimes its just a connection problem and sometimes it is more. Try a simple step of removing all connections(power and other cables on your CPU). Then press the power button and hold for 10 seconds. Connect everything back on and see if it works. ;)

Either that or the ethernet chip on the motherboard is failing - you will need to disable this one from the BIOS and install a simple PCI LAN card in its place

How do I attach speakers to an Inspiron 570 computer?

If you look on the back of the PC, there should be a yellowish jack in the back. That is where you insert the connector for the speakers to.
