Hi Auto descale: To automatically descale your machine, press the scoop button and hold it down until you enter the menu. Use the arrows on the left to scroll up until you come to Descale. Press enter and the machine will enter the mode to descale your machine. The process takes about 45 minutes. You don't have to do a thing except mix a full water tank with descaling solution and have a container under the steam wand when your start. If you have a cappuccinonatori on your machine you will need two containers. To start the descaling process, simply turn the steam knob. When the process is over your machine will say, "Descale finished". Remove your water tank and rinse it out. Refill it with fresh water. Replace on the machine and start the descaling process over again to rinse your machine. Go back into your menu and scroll up or down 1 to "Signal Descale" and enter. Choose "Yes" and push enter so the machine will tell you when you need to descale again.

SOURCE: Trevi Spidem Espresso Machine that leaks

remove the brew unit and look at the white valve behind it, below that valve there is a small chamber which is probably filled with coffee grounds and water, clean chamber and below chamber is a small discharge hole that leads into the draintray, make sure it is clear.

SOURCE: coffee machine blocked

it could be grind stuck in the (yes the, as in the only) hole in the filter cup. remove the filter cup from the cup holder (the thing with the black handle) and use the tiny pin in the little brown tool to push out whatever is in there. you may have used to fine a grind or stuffed the filter cup too much. careful, that is how you break the plastic filter holder ring.

for calcifying, i just use plain white vinegar. i put it in straight into the clear water holder, about 3/4 cup, then i run it throuhg a bit, let it sit 5 min, run it through a bit, let it sit 30 min to an hour. depending on the day, i repeat a few times, rinse with clean water. i do this about every 2 months.

I have a Jura Impressa J9 but there is no Descale or Decalcify option to choose

If your machine is not displaying the descale or decalcify option, you can try forcing it into descaling mode. To do this, press and hold the rotary switch until "RINSE" is displayed. Briefly press the rotary switch again until "RINSE" lights up. Turn the rotary switch until "DECALCIFY" is displayed. Product Support - JURA

What shall i do machine shows decalcify Ventilate?

Decalcify means that there's calcium buildup inside the coffee maker. You can buy stuff to put through it, but white vinegar works about as well. Fill the reservoir with vinegar, and start the coffee maker. You may need to run it more than once.
after it's run through, run 2 or 3 pots of clear water before you try to actually make coffee.

Hi
I am assuming that you have a digital machine. If so, you have to go into the menu and go to "Reset Descale", push the enter button and choose "Yes" and push the button again. Then you can exit the menu and it should be gone.

What does Decalcify mean?

You can download the manual for free. Search for the manual.

If you want to decalcify, then you need to get decalcifying solution. The button with two circles is the decalcify mode. Press that, and the unit will go through it's automatic decalcify. There is a specific procedure to best decalcify superautomatic machines. Please search for that.

After this is done, the decalcify message will not appear. It is on a preset schedule, not an actual measurement of how much scale is in the machine.

Although you don't have to decalcify, it is recommended, especially if you live in an area with hard water.
