Is the freezer fan running? is there frost on the rear freezer wall if so it would be a defrost issue. if no frost on freezer rear panel it would sound like a bad compressor or sealedsystem leak.
I have the same problem. The fan is running, nonstop (all the time, either open or close door). There was ice builded up inside the back cover of the freezer. After defrost those ice, the symptoms still not improving. Any other tips?
Remove the rear cover in the freezer. with the compressor running is the whole evaparator frosted or just a small section somewhere on the top half?It should be a even complete frost on the whole evaparator. If only a small section has frost you have either a leak or a bad compressor thats not pumping.Keep me posted on how it looks.
umm...I didn't look that carefully, and now the cover is put back on. As I remember, the ice was not much, only a hand full that fell off when the cover was pulled off. Some more stubborn ice was the one builded around something that look like grill or curved tubing. The repair man said changing the fan would help...but I doubt that. While waiting for the part (still not sure if he can find...we're in Thailand!) , I'd like to see if there may be other problem...or if it's worth the fix!
If there was a big ball of ice where the tubing comes in and nothing else frosted that is a sign there is a leak most of the time.

1st i would defrost the freezer, use a fan to speed the proses along. make sure that the fan inside the fridge is working if not it can be oiled.. try again to see if it works , most the time this happens it the coils in the freezer cover up with ice. and cause this effect of not cooling right .. cause ? door left open just a crack, lets fresh moist air into fridge ......
