I don't think that model came with a blu-ray drive. I would look at the side of the drive and make sure it specifically says Blu-Ray on it......unless you get a blu-ray drive as a special option, I doubt your laptop has one. Thus, it would not be able to play blu-ray disks.

The BR drive has the wrong driver loaded or is missing in device manager.
