We have a Mitel 5224 on reception on an i3300 system. When in Night Service, it does not answer or play the message to callers: it just rings until the caller hangs up. Night Service COS is set to voicemail and a greeting is recorded. All calls that come in on the main number are directed to this extension. How can we get it to answer?
- If you need clarification, ask it in the comment box above.
- Better answers use proper spelling and grammar.
- Provide details, support with references or personal experience.

That is generally how Night mode works - alerting you to a call then directing the caller to voicmail night message. You want to change the Forward No Answer setting in that mode; if your system doesn't support that, set FNA in regular (non-Night) for the attendant phone.
It sounds like call forwarding has been turned off. Can you log into your own mailbox? If so, what do you dial to get into it? Let's say you dial 77 to reach voicemail from your phone. Press the Blue Superkey, Press No or next until you see Call Forwarding, then press yes. Select NO for Always, Select Yes for Busy and No Answer (there are two separate entries for them), Select change, and dial 77, then press Save.
Try calling your phone from another, don't answer it, it should roll to Voice Mail.
There are a couple of ways. The easiest one is to use the Panasonic voice mail system which has an auto attendant built-in. It can be programmed to answer incoming calls, play a menu and let the caller dial extensions or ring the operator. If no one answers, it can take messages and provide the voice mail for the system. The TVA system has a LAN card that can send voice mail to email. It's optional in the TVA-50 and included in the 200.
This is a programed feature for the phone system. You will need to have your vendor reprogram the system to either allow for more rings, or simply turn the night service option off when still in the office.
make sure the call rerouting always is setup and points to the vm huntgroup, then check the call rerouting assignment points the answer point extn number to the relevant always alternative in night1 and night2 mode
ie; always alternative 10 set all to Reroute and supply vm huntgroup number then program call rerouting assignment for extn during night1 and 2 to 10.
let me know if this resolves the issue if not it could be a number of other timer related / vm configuration / call routing problems which might require a more indepth investigation
I have this phone at work. There's a button that looks like an envelope. Touch that and it will prompt you through recording your voice mail. This phone also features various "away" messages so that you can record a couple different ones and then activate whichever you want depending on your day. This is also accessed through the voicemail button. Once you play around with it a little, you'll find it's a rather simple phone. Right now, I'm trying to figure out how to access my voicemail from home! Good luck!
This sounds like you have a call back message active on your phone, The callback is a through back to the days before we had Voice-mail, if you wanted a person to call you back you could activate their message light by pressing your message key while the called phone was ringing. To remove the light you would lift your handset and press the message key then select which party you wished to "callback", once the call was answered at the other end the light would be extinguished. Give this a try, I bet you will be surprised at the results.
