When i try to turn on my Sony Vaio nothing turns on. A green light will stay on and a orange light beside it will blink. After I let go of the power button the green light stays on but the orange one turns off. Every time I press the power button the orange light blinks. I have charged it and taken the battery out etc but nothing is working.
my computer is doing the same thing, even when it it plugged into the charger with no battery in it. the power light comes on and the orange light flashes once each time the power button is pressed. when the orange light goes off after a second then green light still stays on untill the charger is taken out.my computer is doing the same thing, even when it it plugged into the charger with no battery in it. the power light comes on and the orange light flashes once each time the power button is pressed. when the orange light goes off after a second then green light still stays on untill the charger is taken out.

Maybe you close your monitor while it's ON sometimes Sony Vaio reacts late. Been experiencing that on my Sony Vaio also, what I do is wait for the laptop to get empty battery and then charge it then try to power it ON.
The green light blinking in the back indicates that the power supply went bad and is not turning on, go ahead and get the power supply replaced. Normally that light is supposed to be fully lit and green.
Make sure your monitor is connected to the proper video connection- that is if you have a video card in your machine and a video connection on your motherboard. If you connected to the motherboard and you have a video card -your screen will show nothing even though you are powered up. Dont know your situation, but just checking. Ive seen others do this.
Press and hold the power button for about 20 seconds and then press the power button again.
If your notebook is set to standby or hiberbate it may have lock up the computer. Hope this hepls
