Replace the 2 bulbs. Unit powered up correctly and turned on like normal. Then Lamp1 and Lamp 2 indicator lights blinked (Indicating Start UP). After some period of time, it switched to Red 6 times blink (Lamp Error). I've put back in the old bulbs...same thing.

3. Error Code Operational Check

Note: The TV must be in "Shut Down" and not have been switched Off, to perform the Error Code Operational

Check. When the TV is switched Off, the code automatically resets to "12" No Error.

Pressing the front panel "DEVICE" and "MENU" buttons at the same time, and holding for 5 seconds,

activates the Error Code Mode. The LED flashes denoting a two digit Error Code, or indicating no problem

has occured since the last Initalization.

Note: The front panel buttons must be used, NOT those on the Remote Control.

• The number of flashes indicates the value of the MSD (tens digit) of the Error Code.

• The flashing then pauses for approximately 1/2 second.

• The LED then flashes indicating the value of the LSD (ones digit) of the Error Code.

• The Error Code is repeated a total of 5 times.

Example: If the Error Code is "23", the LED will flash two times, pause, and then flash three times.

The lamp light is blinking once every 5 seconds. The manual says that " Lamp will not light or light is abnormal"

HI,

Panasonic PT50LC13 lamp indicator blinks to tell you the lamp is faulty.

You need to replace the bulb or TY-LA1000 lamp assembly. This link displays all Panasonic TV Lamps and TV Bulbs. This page shows Panasonic lamp location and How to Replace TYLA1000 bulb. TY-LA1000 Bulb Replacement requires the use of a long Philips Screwdriver to reach screws within the lamp cage.

Unplug AC power before removing the lamp and re-install all doors, etc, correctly before starting the TV. Vacuum any visible dust or lint from air vents and lamp area. Do not used forced air to blow out dust, big problems may result.

The user's manual has a description of what the Blinking LED indicators mean.

I had a bulb burn replaced both bulbs worked for a couple of days but now it wont power up only lamp1 light blinking. I have tried taking bulbs out and putting them back in still nothing, also the lamp...

the lamp units should be properly aligned with the 2 very tiny switches
between them. If not lamp led will blink.
If lamp led is continuously on, lamp timer has to be reset, according instructions that come with new units.
Original lamp modules are AH-45001 and AH-45002, two different
units needen for 1 projector, reset procedure is different for each lamp !!

We have a z2 that when you turn on the light turns green then the machine turns itself off. The bulb is very old. Is this a bulb issue?

You are very likely correct. I have 2 of these units myself, and if I recall, when the lamp finally fails the unit will still try to start normally, and then flash the power and/or lamp replace light and turn itself off. You may be able to tell by looking at the lamp itself. Pull it out and look into the end that looks like a flashlight. There should be a cylindrical part sticking up in the middle behind the front glass. Make sure that it isn't broken and/or crooked. This probably does not mean the lamp is good, but it's often a very definite indicator that it IS bad.
