I have a Rigel rsx-1056 receiver. I've had it for six years now without issues. My problem is that my OSD is not responsive. When I select the menu button from my remote the OSD appears on my monitor but only sometimes. I can scroll up or down the menu but when I hit + or - to change a setting it doesn't take. Other times the OSD doesn't show up on my monitor unless I unplug my rotel receiver. This used to work just fine. Any help is most appreciated.

SOURCE: Shows to be stuck in Standby.

hold down the enter button and the advanced surround button for 5 seconds or so and the amp will restart, the display will come up and hopefully it will be ok. its often caused by using speakers under 8 ohms, or damaged speaker cables etc

You will have to remove the small control panel printed circuit board from the front of your unit & inspect it for cracks on the board or bad tact switch/s.

SOURCE: OSD function menu

ok i think i know how to get rid of it now, i did an ATX reset on it and it does go away HOWEVER as soon as you push the menu button again it comes back.

ATX Reset: unplug the main power lead then hold down the power button on the front of the monitor for about 10 seconds, plug the mains lead back in and then switch the monitor on.

SOURCE: 720p output doesn't work

The problem might be that the set can not handle the change in signal. Try setting the AVR-247 to 720P first then turning on the set. Or manually set the TV to receive 720P then change the AVR. TI believe that you have a connectivity issue where the two units are not speaking the same language at the same time. Update this with your results and please post the TV make and model.
Thanks,
Dan

Why my URC SL-9000 can not control ROTEL RSX-1056 AV Reveiver

Do an auto search method to search for codes. If the remote control have set-up code to your device, you will win. If not, buy an other remote control, which have set-up code/s to your device brand.
If you wish to get more details; check the sites linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Common codes to check devices with different brand TVs are given, in the order of the device's brand name list in alphabetical order. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience.

Where can we buy the remote of RSX 1067 7IN1

I do not know anything about your brand or market, but I have had good success with replacement remotes at http://www.replacementremotes.com/
They have a very wide selection of mostly refurbished remotes.

Hello I have a rotel RSX 1056 witch I used once six years ago for two months . I lhavent used it since then , and now I decided to hook it back up and I have no audio . It turns on but when I set a radio...

If you stored it in an area with high moisture content it is probably corroded at most of the contact switches. Capacitors also hate moisture, especially paper capacitors! The tuner is also probably oxidized inside. Now is the time to be brave and pull it apart, but first PULL OUT THE PLUG from the wall. Have at it with electric parts cleaner spray and clean, dry compressed air. If you believe that just because you stored it in your house, there was no moisture, think again! Radios like cars do not do well in storage unless you take precautions to protect them!

I'm trying to chat with friends. I type what I want to say.....then "Enter".....I see that what I typed went through....but my friends don't respond!....I see that they are still online...

Hi there, I've been experiencing the same issue with Facebook. Here's what you can do. instead of chatting through the chatbox, hit MESSAGES then use it instead on chat box. You can chat from there as long as your friend is online. Maybe there is a bug on Facebook.
Good luck!

2006 RSX CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WITH 45000 MILES. THE CAR RUNS LIKE NEW. THE DEALER SAID IT IS THE O2 SENSOR BUT I DON'T BELIEVE THEM. WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE?

Mine had the same problem at 30,000 miles, it was in fact the O2 sensor. I had it replaced and haven't had the CEL since. I've noticed that RSX's have this problem quite often, so don't be too surprised.
Let me know if this helps.

Is it possible to have OSD (on the TV) with a standard AV receiver?

Yes.. Newer (or some) AVR's you can, by selecting OSD "on" in the start up menu. This allows you to view your devices individual settings. Older AVR's by selecting the same option as with newer AVR's OSD option "on" you would also have to pass at leat one seperate s-video, composit, or component out conection from the unit to your AVR to get the OSD. If the signal from the component conection is anything but Standard (SD) or 480i the AVR would not be able to overlay your program with the OSD, thus OSD will appear without the program.

Yamaha RX-V663 - HDMI doesn't work.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, a workaround:
  • as you posted, audio out of the DVD goes to the receiver;
  • HDMI out of the DVD goes to the Schaub Lorenz LCD.
Even if it were a compatibility issue or HDMI processor issue on the receiver, the above should get you going.

Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy Holidays.
