Leaking from top dishdrawer when closed
I realize this is an old question but for anyone else looking for an answer to this - yes, this can be owner rectified if you don't mind a bit of fiddly work in confined space. I fixed the lid on my to drawer about a year ago and works fine so far. I can't remember exactly now but what i did was to remove the drawer to access the comparment and exposed the plastic actuator mechanisms which lower the lid. If i remember correctly it was the little motors which operate the actuators that needed servicing, cleaning if i recall. What i suspect is that once a flooding condition occurs as a result of a protruding object blocking the closing of the lid the motors get dirty and stop working thus perpetuating the problem.
ps. the trick to removing the drawer is to push in the plastic clips which secure the sliding rails
