You may reset or restore your iPod for a try, this way can fix many common iPod problems.
Or go to the iPod setting, turn off the "Enable TV out"
If you don't know how to put DVD movie on iPod, I think this step by step guide would help you

I have the same problem, my Ipod Nano's screen will turn completely blank (white) but I can still play music, I just cant see the songs names, or any writing. When I try to reset it (holding the menu button, and the select buttuon for 10 seconds) It just goes to a black screen, It does not reset with the apple symbol.

Try the Five R's suggested by your user's manual - you can get the manual from Apple's website if you have lost it:
Reset, Retry, Restart, Reinstall, Restore
Remember these five basic suggestions if you have a problem with your iPod nano. If
one of the following doesn’t help, read on for solutions to specific problems.
â Reset your iPod nano. See “General Suggestions,” below.
â Retry with a different USB port if you cannot see iPod nano in iTunes.
â Restart your computer and make sure you have the latest software updates
installed.
â Reinstall iPod and iTunes software from the latest versions on the web.
â Restore your iPod nano. See “Updating and Restoring iPod Software” on page whatever.
