What causes my pressure washer to get hot on the lower end of the motor?

There could be a few reasons why your hot water pressure washer is tripping the GFCI cord after the burner turns on. One possibility is that there could be a fault in the electrical system of your pressure washer, which is causing a power surge that is triggering the GFCI. Another possibility is that there could be a short circuit in one of the components of the burner, such as the ignition module or the solenoid valve, which is causing the GFCI to trip. You may want to consider having a qualified technician inspect your pressure washer to diagnose and address the issue.

Loss of power is likely caused by overheat condition. Check your coolant level, thermostat operation(both upper and lower radiator hoses should feel hot), fan motor/clutch operation and radiator cap for proper pressure retention. Also, pressure test cooling system if coolant is leaking out.

Pressure washers usually will not draw soap on high pressure setting. Switch wand or set wand to lower setting. Pin hole leak in soap line can also cause problem.

when the trigger for the wand is not pulled , there is a pressure relief valve that bypasses the water in the pump and so there is no pressure until the trigger is pulled again.
with the pump getting hot and not being able to pull the motor to restart, it indicates that that pressure relief valve has jammed ( faulty ) and the pump is running at full pressure all the time
That will heat the pump and stop the engine from restarting
That valve is where I would start looking for a problem

Start with the easy stuff. Check the oil level. If its low some engines have an auto cutoff on them.

These machines can have issues such as you have explained if they are run off from an extension cord or if they are really far from the breaker box. They have this issue because the amount of amps that are going to the machine aren't enough for the motor to operate efficentially so the motor in turn gets hot and blows the fuse or the breaker.

Another issue could be is that the nozzle is being restricted to much and is causing the motor to work harder than what it should and is causing the machine to over heat. This in turn would cause the motor to blow a fuse or a breaker.

The most likely cause is a blocked pipe or drain motor. This could be caused by an obstruction, such as a screw, hair clip or coin jamming the impellor inside the pump. Firstly, try to manually empty the machine of water. Take the drain pipe and lower it to a position below the machine itself. This should cause a syphoning action. Uou may have to give the end of the pipe an initial **** to start the flow. Remember to give the pipe a clean first with hot water and don't swallow any of the water.

Check your spark plugs, see if they are failing, if they are then your motor is getting to hot. meaning that you either have the fuel mixture set to high or the setting on the spark plugs are not correct causing you to burn hot.

I have the same hair line crack so water pushes out the top. Can the part just be replaced ?
