Hooked up my new aquos and cant get the cable to work, my wii comes on , my dvd player too, but the Direct Tv screen is just blank

Your TV has two sets of AV inputs. One on the side and one at the back. The Wii has a 3RCA cable ( Yellow / Red & White ) . Connect these jacks to the corresponding color sockets on the side input of your TV. Select that input on the TV and your Wii sound and picture should come on.
For the DVD player you have to get a 5 RCA component cable. This cable will have 5 colored jacks, connect the White & Red to the Audio in of the TV and then connect the Red/Blue/Green jacks to the component video input of the TV.Do the same at the DVD's end also. Setect that source on the TV and you should hear the DVD sound and picture.

You are using composite cables(red,white,yellow) mine did the same thing. The aquos is all digital, wont read analog, which is what composite cables are.
They now make a component cable for the wii. I paid $28 at b.b.

If the cable box needs to be set to 4, the TV will need to be set to 4 as well as the dvd player. The hookup should be cable box to dvd player to the TV for your system to work. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks.

does your tv have scart sockets?

if so you can buy this adapter that on one side is the scart socket and the other is the yellow red white sockets

there is a possibility that there might have been a power surge sent over hdmi into the hdmi board on the tv. if on your model the hdmi board is seperate from the sine board then youll have a cheap replacement if not its gonna cost you roughly 300-400 is my guess.

ok u can hook it up though a dvd player if ur tv wont support it make sure ur on the right channel though

Audio and video out from the DVD unit go to the A/V In of the Sharp....Accordianman

Most likely a defective Main Board. I suggest calling Sharp 1-800-237-4277 to locate your local Sharp Authorized Service Center.
