Have you tried re-seating the ink cartridges? (removing them and putting them back in making sure they clicked on their place)

Some companies will sell an ink cartridge that has been refilled. If the ink doesn't
flow out of the cartridge as it should, your computer will think that there is no cartridge
or you have the wrong cartridge installed.Make sure that the ink is flowing. You may have to clean your printhead

Cartridges cannot be recognized

Make sure there is no plastic covering on the the cartridges where the ink comes out. and that it is firmly in place and then turn printer off and on.

There is full ink and it is saying there is no ink

hi there..

i think your ink cartridge has shifted out of place, remove the cartridge, clean the surface and fix it back make sure you hear a click sound to ensure that it is properly fixed then restart the printer.. if there isn't any improvement try another ink cartridge,if no improvement still, then you should take it to a repairer to look into the problem.

I just had my cartridges refilled but my printer still says low ink i used my old cartridges from dell how can i get my 926 printer to work with the refilled cartridges it will not print.

With this type of cartridge your printer will always think refills have low ink. This is because the electronics on the cartridge cannot be reset to tell the printer it is full of ink. However you should still be able to print and just ignore the ink levels. I think the problem you are having is that the electronics on your cartridge are no longer functioning. Unfortunately there is no way to fix this problem. I know you can buy refills from Cartridge World stores, but I don't know about other retailers.

Although new black cartridge insalled (colour OK) page will not print in black - seems a blockage?

Open the printer and remove the ink. Clean around the ink carriage and the under the ink with alcohol and a cotton swab. Pay special attention to areas with copper contacts. Keep in mind too that some printers will not print, even with full ink, if the exact type of ink it expected you to have installed is not right. Double check that the ink is correct against the manual or written instructions inside the printer using the number not the shape. Not every cartridge that fits the printer necessarily works.

How do I install ink HP photosmart c3180

Hey DDD,

It looks like HP put together an animation to help with replacing the ink cartridges. I know you are just trying to install them for the first time, but it might be helpful:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00652671&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=1146331

Also, since you are just setting up the new product, double check that you've removed all the packing material and tape from the cartridges. I've made that mistake before ;-)

Cheers,

My printr ask for insall magnta what is that

It means one of the print cartridges is already out of ink or in the process of running out of ink. open the cover on your printer(check the user manual - http://www.brother-usa.com/ModelDocuments/Consumer/Users%20Manual/UM_MFC_210C_420CN_EN_286.PDF ) you will find several cartridges namely; Black, Yellow, Cyan and Magenta. Follow the correct procedure in replacing ink cartidges based on the user's manual.

How to Override Ink Level Gauge When Using Refilled Cartridges

Above link great.
If you have a newer print cartridge cart, look for the little window. I put a sticker over the little window on the Brother (innobella) LC38 cartridge cart and it worked great :)
Despite finding a fix for this problem, I think this is a rip off setting on the brother printers and I will never buy another Brother printer for this reason.
