Front stereo speakers don't work - 2007 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer EL

There could be several reasons why the head unit for your car does not work. The most likely issue is that the head unit is not compatible with your stereo system. Hi, the aftermarket stereo does not use the illumination wire. You must tape that wire off (purple/gray). That wire is either connected to the wrong place or is touching chassis ground and causing your instrument lights to dim.
Connect the stereo's red wire to the car's black/yellow wire; and connect the stereo's yellow wire to the car's red/white wire.

Red is for constant power, yellow is for ignition power, blue is for an electric antenna, black is ground. The others are for the speakers. - 2blue, 2green, 2purples, 2whites. If you don't have an electric antenna , don't use the wire. Also if you extra wires for the vehicle this is common. don't use them. Hope this helps. Randy

I would check for splices under the dash if this vehicle was purchased used, many people remove their aftermarket stereos and don't properly reattach the harness.
