I have Dell optiplex GX 270 Desktop Pc. I got some problem on Network card. the problem is it is being connected without cable.

Your video card determines Direct X support. If you look at Newegg.com--find a newer video card and read the tech specs most of them now support Direct X 10 or higher.

solder a new one on.their is no other fix, appart from taking a battery out of a laptop,cutting off the plug & soldering the + & - ends of the cable to the board.

if dell doesnt have them then its a third party device google optiplex gx 270 and see what u find

Red would be no signal.

1. Check network cable (try a different cable).
2. What is connected at the other end? Hub? Switch? Modem? Does the other equipment also have lights?
3. Check the settings in the operating system / driver. Select "Auto" for link type and speed. Use manufacturers defaults if possible.
4. Uninstall the network card driver, reboot, re-install the network card driver

It is last one under Network and this gives you all other drivers needed by your computer. You can always bookmark this page for future Or download all of them and burn them to a CD for later use.

If you are not getting display for your Dell Optiplex GX 270, the issue may be one of three possible causes:

* The VGA cable connection between the Dell PC and the monitor, may not be seated in the VGA port correctly. Does it have a graphics card fitted? WHat sort?

i don't see any reason that you can't as long as you use the 260 drivers.

is your Dell DVD is new? if it is.. try to go at the DELL and ask for the warranty.

I've heard that Dell will still honor the warranty if you mention the capacitors to them. They haven't recalled them, but they know it is a known problem.
