SOURCE: Navman S50 wont load maps

Ok i have had this problem on a S80 and have fixed it, and i went through a $h!t fight to get the navdesk 2008 software but i have it if anyone needs it and i loaded my navman up again, it seems to be working fine.

Step #1) Back up entire data from navman onto a disc or hard drive.
Step #2) Format the navmans internal memory and then cancel the format about 5 seconds into it, but less then half way.
Step #3) Install navdesk 2008
Step #4) under the tools tab, select the recover keys options.
Step #5) under the tools tab, select the reinstall navman software option, it will ask you to back up but as there should be nothing to back up it doesnt matter, and then it should reinstall the navman software into the nav man.
Step #6) Install the maps that are unlocked or the maps you want(you may have to buy maps that were not a standard map when your navman was brought.

Theres so many wonderfull things you can do with these navmans aswell as GPS, like watch video and play music belive it or not.
Thanks for reading i hope this helps someone.

Slow. My BLU phone is new, and it's slow at EVERYTHING: turning on, opening apps, finding contacts, connecting calls, answering calls. Is there any hope for it?

Firstly, need more info, like what model BLU is it? What is the CPU type and how much RAM does it have. How much free RAM is available? How much free space is on the device?. You need to realize that cell phones nowadays are just like computers. The more resources they have the faster they are. Also, note that most phones under +- $200 will not be fast.

Secondly, most phones come with pre-loaded bloatware. You need to uninstall apps that are not used. Go through them all and remove what is not used, all except system apps.

Last thing... was it always slow or just relatively suddenly it became slow. You may have some malware on the device, so as a last resort you can do a factory reset and take it again from there.

I have a my65t and it won't retrieve the contacts off my iphone 3GS. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Andrew

The problem with the iPhone 3GS is that it can only detect audio devices through Bluetooth (if your using Bluetooth) an alternate you could do is look in the app store for a Bluetooth file transfer

How do I access the instruction manual for navman 65t?

Hi!

Here is the link where you can download your instruction manual:

http://www.navman.com.au/car-GPS-devices/MY-Series/MY65T/Overview/

The user guide link is in the nav bar below "MY search is finally over" on the right hand side.
Be patient. It's a LARGE file of over 8 meg.

Hope this helps.

Can not connect bluetooth to MY65T Navman

I've got MY65T working on an iPhone 3GS. I previously had the problem where it would pair and retrieve phone book, but not transmit or receive voice from my iPhone when making a call.

The last thing I did that fixed it was to remove the bluetooth pairings and "reinstall software on your navman". I don't know if this may remove some of your settings / POI / etc. This was a new purchase so I didn't have anything to lose.

Before doing this I had upgraded the navdesk software to 7.30, and installed the latest firmware for MY65T. Firmware is located at http://www.navmansupport.com.au/Software/My%20Series/MY65T/MY250___352.htm

Details:
-remove the phone bluetooth pairing from the Navman from Settings / Bluetooth / My Paired Devices / [your phone] / delete
-remove the bluetooth pairing from your phone's settings
-connect navman to PC and launch navdesk
-click "My Navman" / "Reinstall software on your Navman"
-download the install file if prompted
-accept the reinstallation prompts and complete reinstallation
-set your phone to discoverable over bluetooth (just keep it on the Bluetooth settings screen on iPhone)
-go to Settings / Bluetooth /" Search new devices" on your Navman
-click your phone's name on the navman's discovered devices
-enter the PIN onto your phone when prompted and accept the pairing. This takes a little while.
-test handsfree!
