You might want to consider NOT connecting the camera to the computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.

Driver for window 7 for HP Compact pentium 4 lga775 3ghz audio and video intel chipset

Hi,

Go to this page and download Windows 7 drivers from the links and try to install them. I think that this will solve the problem with the sound.
There is no support for Intel 845G for Windows 7. So I suggest to use XP drivers from this link.
Use Compatibility mode before starting the setup file. You can do that by right-click on the setup.exe ->choose Compatibility tab and select Windows 7 Compatibility.
After that run the setup.exe. I hope this will work. Good Luck!

Just got a new laptop. Tried to install HP Photosmart C 6280. Installation failed because new laptop has Windows7 and v.9.0.2 uses 2000, xp or Vista. Is there a fix?

Try using the compatability tool that is integrated with Windows 7. Do a right click on the Setup.exe file of Photosmart and select Troubleshoot Compatability. Then select, This program worked with an earlier version of Windows, and then select Windows XP SP2. Run the program and if it works choose the option that tells the system the program installed properly. Hope this helps

Have new HP Windows 7 (64 bit) laptop and have old HP Photosmart 7850 printer without softwre CD. Printer is recognised by the computer but I've changed cartridges and cannot align the them as have...

If you ahve teh software installed, right click the icon and select the properties option then locate the tab that has the option to run in compatibility mode. Set the software to run in Windows XP or Vista compatibility. If it is stopping the installation, right click the installation file and tell it to run in compatibility mode with a previous version of windows to install.

I cannot seem to install my HP 2600/2700 software onto my Windows 7 laptop. During installation, it stops and says that it cannot be installed as "Run As" and further advises that installation...

Windows 7 has some compatibility issues with some drivers, you can try to download a Windows 7 32 or 64 bits depending on your windows OS driver from HP website or you can try to run the driver installation using one of the compatibility modes under the properties tab of the driver's main file, in the properties menu there should be something like "run this software in compatibility mode for", clock on the drop down list and make sure you select "windows xp".
Hope this solution helps

Do you know how I can get my Epson CX5300 to work with my new laptop which runs on Windows 7 please? thanks Corinna

You can try installing the driver in Compatibility Mode. First of all, download the Windows XP driver from here [Click Here], open the link and click "Download (4MB)" to download. After the download it completed, extract the files to a specific folder [it's a winzip file], locate "Setup.exe" file and right-click, then "Properties", click "Compatibility Mode" tab and then click "Run this program in Compatibility Mode", select "Windows XP Service Pack 2", and also select "Run this program as Administrator", click "Apply" and then "Ok" and install the driver by double-clicking the "Setup.exe" file.

HP photosmart copy function does not print with windows 7. I can print and scan with no problem.

it is the version of software that was released to be compatible with win 7. the copy feature was removed. you can try running the original install disk in a compatibility mode
right click on the setup.exe
left click on properties
click on the compatibility tab
check the box for compatibility mode, and choose Vista Service Pack 2
check the "run as administrator" box
right click the setup.exe and use "run as administrator" (yes, this may seem redundant)
