SOURCE: have a Bosch WFMC 3200UC and gives a E04 error.

In order to unlock the door on this machine you must first turn the cycle knob to a cycle that was different than the one you were on. The machine should then reset and the door should unlock.

SOURCE: Cant remove drain pump cap of bosch washing macine

I just replaced my drain pump on my BOSCH washing machine WFL2060-so almost identical to yours. When I posted my question, I was told that it was a pain to do, that many repairmen refuse to do it etc.... even that the front panel does not come off. Well, I am a fairly petite (by athletic) woman, and very far from being an expert at repairing anything....
I just did it in less than 45 minutes with a screw driver and a pair of pliers (and a bit of common sense). Here is the protocol:
1- UNPLUG your machine
2- drain any water that could be left inside (at the bottom front right, you will find a small door: open it, the filter and the small black hose are there)
3- . put an old blanket on the floor behind your machine and a piece of wood long enough to go across the width of your machine- place it half way to what will be the height of your machine once it lies down on the floor- this will save your fingers in case you loose grip of the machine while tilting it down on its back...
4- tilt your machine back and down on its back: use your thigh muscles as the machine si a bit heavy (if you have a friend help you that will be easier-but I did it alone...
5- remove the bottom front panel (2 screws)
6- above the filter access you will see 1 to 3 screws: take them off
7- from the bottom of your machine, take out the electric plug at the back of the pump's motor
8- using your pliers (and a good grip) loosen the metallic braces that hold the 2 hoses and slide them down along each of the hoses
9- the unit will come off into your hand.
10- replace the unit with the new one
11- screw the unit back
12 plug the wires back
13 reposition the hoses (you cannot go wrong, they are on wither side of the pump)
14- slide the braces back onto the hose+pump outlet
15- tilt your machine back
16- plug your machine
17- you are ready for your load!
AND... you have saved about $200 without the part (I ordered it, paid $49 and was delivered to me within 2 business days!)

SOURCE: Bosch Classixx 1000: Won't drain

The Solution: Top up the softener tray with extra water so that it is up to the 'max level' mark.

The softener tray works by a siphon action. Thus, the reason the tray does not empty is that not enough water is added by the machine during the softening cycle, so that the machine does not completely fill the softening tray; only when the softening tray is filled beyond the 'max' mark does the siphon action works. A partially filled tray will never empty - it's impossible due to the siphon.

The reason that not enough water is added to the tray during the softening action is that the water inlet of the machine is partial blocked (you can try to fix that) but it is simpler to just added more water to the conditioner tray.

Thus, the easiest way to ensure that the softener tray empties every time (after adding the softener to the softener tray of course) is to top up the softener tray with extra water, top it up to the 'max level' line (keep a bottle of water by the machine). That way, even if only a little water is added to the softener tray during the softening cycle by the machine it is enough to trigger the siphon action and the tray will empty!

Works for me every time, and no need to remove any parts - I used to take the tray out, clean it, scrub the outlet holes that fill the tray etc, but they used to gum up again quite quickly!

Hope that helps

SOURCE: unable to unscrew cap on filter on washing machine

You should be unscrewing anti-clockwise to remove it, if it will not come out, then there is probably somethiung stuck in the filter preventing it from pulling out.

Try moving it from side to side as you are unscrewing and pulling.

Bosch E13 error on washer - shows e-13 and door will not open.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

E13 error in your Bosch WFMC washer is a drain error and is displayed when the drain time exceeds & the washer is unable to drain so the door won't open sometimes when this error is displayed. You will have to clean the drain trap in the bottom right hand corner. You can stick a straighten paper clip in the access panel located inside the front bottom panel through the whole and then turn the access panel counter clockwise to unscrew the plastic drain cap behind it. After everything is cleaned and the error returns then replacing the drain pump is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Washer does not completely drain. Pump hums but does not pump.

Hi,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your description " Washer does not completely drain. Pump hums but does not pump ", the pump is likely blocked, or faulty, but less likely.

This typically an issue associated with just the filter in the pump being obstructed. The best way to determine if it`s just clogged is to check it of course, so... The filter is located in the front near the bottom, follow below for a complete »"how to".

**Unplug the washer or turn off your breaker before servicing the washer...safety first**

To check and clean the pump on your washer, If you direct your attention to the bottom right side of your Bosch you'll see a small round cover like so...

eb32373.jpg
With the aid of a small screw driver, knitting needle, or anything small enough to fit in the small hole in this cover...

682f584.jpg

It will push in a tab, it doesn't take much force.

Rotate the hole (clockwise) to 6'oclock and it should come free, the edges are extremely sharp so be careful.

Once the door is out of the way you'll be greeted by a 3-4" plastic cap with wings so you can unscrew it by hand. ( you should also see a green or red ring attached to a metal clip on the pump, if you pull this the door should unlatch, but getting the water out first if present, is usually a good plan )

There is a small collector lip at the bottom of the cap, that is where you can hold the wet/dry vac to catch the water. Unscrew slowly so you don't get flooded, until it is unscrewed all the way out. There is potential for a lot of water...even if the washer looks empty.

Now pull out the trap/filter and visually inspect the inside of the pump as well as the filter/trap.

That is how you gain access to and clear the filter on your Bosch washer.

Re-install the filter and run a test with some towels or something to check it`s performance and to insure the filter is tight with no leaks before putting the cover back in place.

If this answered your question, awesome. If not let me know and I`ll try and help further.

Hope you found this helpful. If so please take a moment to write a short testimony and leave a rating.

Thank you for choosing FixYa, good luck.

My Bosch MOdel WFMC 3200UC washer won't spin or drain. It's 5 yrs old.

Hello,

You haven`t mentioned whether you`ve checked the pump or not and obstructions and debris in Bosch pumps is very common, so I`ll assume you didn`t and explain how you can do it yourself.

**Unplug the washer from the wall or turn off the breaker before attempting any repairs**

  1. Get some towels and if possible a wet/dry vac. If the machine drained, it won't be too bad. If your machine is stuck full of water, I can't say, I'd guess you could get wet. ( unless you`re lucky enough to be close to a floor drain )
  2. Locate the round door on the front of the machine (about 6" in diameter, lower right corner)
  3. Find a drill bit or small screwdriver that fits in the hole in the round door.
  4. Insert the bit into the hole in the door. It will push in a tab, it doesn't take much force. Rotate the hole (clockwise) to 6'oclock and it should come free. (the edges are very sharp so be careful or wear chain-mail gloves).
  5. Once the door is out of the way you'll be greeted by a 3-4" plastic cap with wings so you can unscrew it by hand. ( you should also see a red ring with a string attached, if you pull this the door should unlatch, but getting the water out first is usually a good plan ) There is a small collector lip at the bottom of the cap, that is where you can hold the wet/dry vac to catch the water. Unscrew slowly so you don't get flooded, until it is unscrewed all the way out.
  6. Now pull out the trap and visually inspect the inside of the pump as well as the filter/trap. Hopefully you'll find the item/debris that initiated the error code.
  7. After removing any debris or obstruction`s re-install the button trap/lint filter and plug the washer in to power or reset the breaker and give it a test.
  8. Run a load and watch for leaks. Leave the pump access door off until you are sure you screwed the cap in tight and there are no leaks.
Ultimately you may have a faulty drain pump, but I would certainly start by performing the things I listed first.

Let me know if you require further assistance and if not and this solves your problem, please rate the solution I provided accordingly.

Thank you for coming to "fixya" and good luck.

My Bosch classic 1200 express washing machine wont drain or spin

Possibly a blocked filter or pump.
Ths filter should be at the bottom right front of washer, sometimes behind a removeable cover at the bottom of washer.
To clean it, unscrew anti-clockwise, remove and clean.

Bosch WFF1201 Washing Machine, wont drain

To access the pump filter, remove lower plastic panel at front of washer, there you will see the filter, unscrew filter cover anti clockwise, remove and clean filter.
You will probably find that whatever was causing the clicking noise is something in the filter.
If you can't see anything in it , then have a look inside the pump housing before you replace filter.
Plz rate my solution .
Thanks.

I want to drain the pump as per the manual for storage

The best way to drain the pump is to lay the drain hose on the floor, and let the water run out that way, if you tilt the washer back, you will get more water out this way..
This is only suitable if the drain hose comes out of bottom of washer.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Clothes wet and soapy after cycle compleded ,mostly when towels are washed.

Eiterh your machine is not spining properley or you simply need to clear out your drain filter.... or it could be the pump im thinking your filters is slightly blocked..

fill the machine with water and lower the waste pipe to ground level and if the water trickles out slowly then its a blockage if not then its the pump...

if its not the pump then its the carbon brushes on the motor....

follow this procedure.. hope it helps any problems let us know
