Check the Adobe website for an updated Camera Raw plug-in. Your camera model may be newer than the version of the AdobePhotoshop Camera Raw plug-in you are using. An updated version of thePhotoshop Camera Raw plug-in may be available that supports yourcamera. Download the update from the Adobe website at www.adobe.com/downloads. Follow the instructions on the download page to install the plug-in to the correct directory.
To determine what version of the Camera Raw plug-in you currentlyare using, open Photoshop or Photoshop Elements and do one of thefollowing:

If your camera model is not currently supported by the Photoshop Camera
Raw plug-in, check the Adobe website periodically to find out if a new

It may be that your system is set to open CR.2 files with canon DPP and you can
change this with preferences.
Also, you may need to update your Adobe software (CS/ACR) to be able to read the
5D files if it even still supports the 5D.
Older versions of PS will NOT open newer Raw files but I'm unsure if CS supports the
5D. You will need to check their site for supported cameras and then upload the latest
ACR updates for CS
Make sure that if the format is proper.
usually canon output pictures is in jpg format.
