Do you mean that the needle goes up and down when you turn the hand wheel but not when you step on the pedal? In that case, your machine needs a new motor belt. Warning: since this is a computerized sewing machine, you should have the service done by a sewing machine repair person. Don't you have a manual? If not, try unplugging and waiting 10 seconds and plug it in again. There is also a clear button. I saw a great demonstration of this machine on www.youtube.com, looks like a very nice machine.

Thanks to floraq803, we have our 11000 working again. The needle threader was stuck in the down position. We turned off the machine, and turned the wheel (which controls where the needle is) until the needle threader bar was straight (approximately 1/2 way between the needle being all the way down and all the way up). Turned on the machine and the threader came back up again. Now back to sewing.

upper tension/threading wrong?

The feed dog will rise as soon as you turn the handwheel one time. Just put the fabric in it and sew. It will come up automatically as long as you have moved the lever to the correct position.
