I have been using Sony Ericsson K 790i for the past three years. While I am trying to charge the battery, it now shows a message, :Charging Error, Stop Charging". The battery is not getting charged at all. What could be wrong ??

If its charging on your computer,then the problem is the charger itself.

The first thing to do is try to check you charger and its terminal,pins might not in align or corroded,otherwise buy original sony ericsson charger.Also check the charging terminal of your phone. you can clean it using brush or a pin and scratch each portion so that the power voltage will some it.

chances are the battery on you're phone is faulty. if you know somebody else with a sony ericsson try using there charger first to make sure you're charger doesnt have a dodgy connection. hope this helps

if charge down in 3 hours mean battery problem. if the mobile show "not charging" message mean charger problem.
