My Kitchenaid model KURD25SHBL0 dishwasher is not draining. Drain line is clear, wash cycle runs fine, and there is no obstruction to overfill sensor. Can hear pump runnng during drain cycle but no drainage occurs.
I suspect the pump is not reversing during the drain cycle and I want to check if the wiring to the pump is loose or damaged, but I cannot find a wiring diagram or service manual for this model. A link to a wiring diagram, or an explanation of which wires need to be checked would would be very helpful.

The F179 fault code on a Miele dishwasher usually indicates an issue with the drainage system. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
Check the Drain Hose: Start by inspecting the drain hose for any kinks, clogs, or blockages. Ensure that the hose is properly connected and not damaged in any way. If you find any issues, clear the blockage or replace the hose if necessary.
Clean the Filters: Remove and clean the filters inside the dishwasher. Accumulated debris in the filters can hinder proper drainage. Rinse the filters under running water to remove any food particles or residue.
Check the Drain Pump: The drain pump is responsible for removing water from the dishwasher during the drain cycle. Make sure the drain pump is free of any obstructions. You can access the drain pump by removing the bottom panel of the dishwasher. If you find any debris or blockage, remove it carefully.
Ensure Proper Installation: Verify that the dishwasher is installed correctly, including the drainage system. Ensure that the drain hose is properly connected to the drain pipe and that there is no obstruction in the plumbing system.
Reset the Dishwasher: Try resetting the dishwasher by turning off the power at the circuit breaker for a few minutes. Then, turn the power back on and run a test cycle to see if the fault code clears.
Yes, by all means, check for obstructions in the drain line. Also check to see that the motor mounts for the drain pump are not damaged. Sometimes the veins in the drain pump get broken off and cause an imbalance in the pump which seems like a clog!
check the drain hose and the kitchen sink drain outlet are clear.
It is possible the soil sensor is faulty and is drawing more water thinking the dishes are still dirty. Check if you hear the drain pump operate briefly during wash cycle.
Maybe. Check for your normal clogs near the drain (you have probably done that already).
Can you hear the pump running and water flowing inside when you run a wash cycle? The same pump that circulates the water empties the machine too. If the pump is pumping normally in the wash cycle there may be a bad or obstructed valve or drain line. If you remove the drain line at the valve you might find something in it. If not, the next step would be to check the drain valve with an ohmmeter.
If it's not something like a clogged line or faulty valve then it's probably in the timer or computer and it might be time to call somebody.
Good luck!
Hi, if you have a disposal make sure it is clear. You can put some icecubes
in it to clean the blades and run some water through to make sure the
drain is clear. If the dishwasher will still not pump out all the water
check the drain line from the dishwasher to the sink drain for
obstructions. If the drain is you will have to check the pump for
obstructions. Sometimes glass, popcorn, toothpicks etc.... can get in
the pump and prevent it from pumping out. If the pump is clear, then
you will need a new pump.

If water flows from the vent, it indicates some type of blockage in the drain line downstream of that point. You can rent something called a "Drain Snake", which will require you to take apart the drain line to clear the obstruction, or you make purchase some liquid drain cleaner and see if that will clear the problem.
Hope this helps,
It could be cause the water level switch.
The level switch is usually a diaphragm device with a small clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. I am not familiar with your machine, but if you will open the rear panel you will find it easily. Clear tube from any obstruction.
Good luck !
