This is due to the high voltage passing the the equipment, put a Voltage Regulator in your power point or get an electrician to sort this out for u!

SOURCE: Hello, I currently use a Belkin F5D8631 as my Modem Router. I have a spare Belkin F5D7633. Can I use the 7633 as a repeater/bridge to extend my wireless range? If so, how?! Thank you

It will not extend your wireless range. If you connect your spare Belkin F5D7633 to your Belkin F5D8631, one of them would have to be set to "bridge mode" or a pass through modem so that there will be no conflicts as to which modem will receive the ip address from the network. If you set your modem/router to bridge mode, it would disable its wireless function because it will only be a pass-through device.

If you want some tips on how to improve your wireless range, check out this site http://www.microsoft.com/athome/moredone/wirelesstips.mspx. Hope this helps.

You must configure the wireless settings of the laptop manually. It should match the wireless settings of your router. If you have wireless encryption enabled, make sure to type the network key on the wireless settings of your laptop.

Just hook it all up, and push and hold the reset button in the back of the router for 10 sec..

Then unplug your internet box, [cable/DSL box] and plug back in,
The internet box will send a IP to your router automaticly.

[If it dont work unplug power from both boxes, then back in but plug the internet box in first..]

done..

if your useing wireless this will not be setup with a password to join, and will be open to neighbors,,

If you want to go to the next step and setup a password to join, you can do this with out the cd also, but get it working first and hit me back

Wireless light flashes & can't connect

This post is dedicated to describing the process of fixing an orange light on a Belkin router. But, first, it's important to know about the reason for the orange light. The orange light on the brilliantly-designed Belkin router provides an indication that either the particular connection had not been developed or the router is not capable of detecting the Internet. It might be due to the defected router, unplugged modem, and so forth.
