My Dell V515W will not print. I keep getting a message across the printer that says "There is a problem with the print head. Please consult user's guide. When I tried that, and I tried cleaining the cartridge as instructed, I had no change. When I try to get it to print, it tells me the printer is busy.

You need to clean the paper feed rollers not the print head, use household rubbing alcohol.

Firstly Check if u are installing the [Dell V515w] wireless driver of the printer or just installing the dell v515 driver , i would recommand u go to www.support.dell.com and look for the printer and download from tthe site and then download and install it , elsz try to add a printer from devices and printers and use the OS drivers to install it, also the printer needs to be with in 30 feet to be able to detect by the router to be print from the system

If all of your cartridges are good and full of ink and you have done all to clean and still cannot get printer to print a test page then your print head is fubar and in need of replacement. Not cheap and often better to get new printer than replace the print head.

Try running Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print jobs in the queue.

Can you copy a document under the glass? B&W and color?

What is the correct model of the printer? V505 or V515? Dell does not have a V510.

If you unplug the printer from the wall and remove the power brick for 60 seconds, this will reset any error messages the printer has. I would then plug everything back in.

Power on the printer.

Open the printer(with the power on) and take out the Dell Series 21, 22 black cartridge and then reseat it. I would then take out the color Dell Series 21, 22 ink cartridge and reseat it. Now close the printer and it will print an alignment page.

Any error messages?

black cartridge = black side(left side) color cartridge = color side(right side)

photo cartridge = black side(left side) color cartridge = color side(right side)

Dell Series 21, 22 ink cartridges have a sensor in them that cannot be reset. Article on refilling Dell ink cartridges.

Dell Series 21. 22 ink cartridges can be purchased at Staples, Walmart or Dell's Website.

It's possible to get a Dell Series 21, 22 ink cartridge with a bad sensor. I would take these back to the place of purchase for a replacement or a refund.

Either the cartridge is the wrong cartridge, the printer is not detecting the cartridge, or there is a problem with the holder. I would take it back if it's still in warranty, and have them check it out or exchange it. Not much else I can tell you long distance.
