Battery life is very short. is there a replacement battery available and if so how where can i buy one and how much is it?

Dell is the worse laptop in this world. If anybody wants to buy a laptop, please think thousands time before you pick up NONSENSE DELL.

Short battery life can be due to several factors:

1) Short initial charge(s) when the battery was new.
2) Age of battery. Check your date code embossed on the lower portion of the battery below the label. On a three digit code the first number is the year, next two are the week of the year. If a four digit code the first two are the year. Example 142 is 2011 the 42nd week. OR 1142 if a 4-digit code. If you battery is more than 18-24 months old it likely needs replaced.
3) Short charging the battery by putting the radio on the charge too often, or with the radio turned on. Always turn the radio off when charging.
4) Poor connection with the charger. Clean your battery contacts on both the radio and the charger with a pencil eraser.
5) Excessive talking. Heavy talkers radios will run down quickly. It takes more energy to Transmit than to Receive. Using the 5/5/90 rule, your battery should go an 8 hr business day.

Note: There are 3 battery styles available for your radio. The one which comes with the radio is a 1100 mAH battery. There are also two others with higher capacities available.

HTC phones and all android phones use much more battery life then your previous phones. they run many applications all at the same time, whether you want it to or not. To save battery life, download an app killer from the marketplace. I purchased an extended battery and it made it much more tolerable about charging occurances

The Torch's battery life is notoriously short. I would suggest you purchase an extended battery for the phone.
There's a few different options available for you:
You may purchase an extended battery, but it requires a different backing.
Or you can purchase another battery and swap them out.

hey there.....most of the motorola phones have great battery life.....but sorry to inform you that your`s doesn`t really belong to that good-battery-life mobile models....so buying new batteries won`t help you in anyway.....so don`t spend your precious bucks on new batteries or repairing your phone without a reason.....well you can try buying a new phone...if it is economical......hope i have helped you...

remember battery life depends on the data download usage so if you are a big fan of movies and the like , the battery life will be short

Apart from taking it to a shop for a battery re-build, if you are savvy enough, you can re-build the battery by taking the old battery pack and the protection circuit board out with a soldering iron, keeping the plastic frame and replace the pack with a similar one that you can buy on ebay for less than US$10. Just search "Lithium Polymer 380mAh" and that is the one that gave mine a second life. WARNING: Do it at your own risk, don't hold me liable if you lose a finger or more from mishandling the potentially explosive Li-ion battery pack. Good luck!
