I think none of you read the question well and rushed to answer it.

The Nano Max Ipod the person is talking about is actually a duplicate model of the original that is available in Dubai. It is a MP4 player with FM RADIO and Voice recorder.

My girlfriend bought the same and now i am puzzled on how to operate it. Device Manager shows it as an "unknown device". Pls Help!!

switch the hold button on and off, then hold horizontally, and push the menu button and center button at the same time. hold them down untill the ipod restarts and the apple logo apears. If that doesen't work, plug into the newest itunes program, and push restore.

If your iPod is frozen or won't turn on, your iPod may be paused or on "hold." Slide the Hold switch and check the screen.

If your iPod is frozen or won't turn on, connect your iPod to your computer, then press and hold the "Menu" and "Select" buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds to reset the iPod. Resetting an iPod will not affect your files or preferences.

If your iPod fails to hold a charge and it's more than a year old, you may need a new battery.

If all else fails, file a complaint with ebay stating you were sold something that was not properly described - unless the seller made it clear there were issues with the unit.

Hope this helps some!

How do I connect IPOD (Generation 5) to my AVR 135?

RCA cable should only be sending sound through the headphone jack to the amp not files. This would then be selectable through an AV or external source rather than USB or iPod option

How to connect an iPod to a computer connection

The iPod is one of the world's most popular MP3 players because of its ease of use. You can simply drag and drop video and audio files from your computer to the device to your collection on-the-go media to expand. The process of establishing this connection with your computer is easy, and maker of the iPod, Apple only requires that the freedom of the media management program, iTunes downloads to begin adding audio and video on your iPod.

1. Identify your hardware. If you use a computer with a USB 2.0 port, then you have it easier because all you have to do is plug in your hardware. If you are using an older computer (usually with an operating system to Windows 2000), then you have a USB 2.0 port, in which case you should consider using a FireWire or USB 1.1. If you do not have FireWire or USB 1.1, you need a card or adapter.

2. Identify your iPod. Fifth-generation iPods or later can be connected using standard FireWire adapter cable option, but otherwise requires USB 2.0 ports. You can also use standard iPod USB 1.1 ports, but it requires an adapter. The Nano and Shuffle models can only connect via USB ports.

3. Connect the iPod cable that you use on your iPod. The larger end of the cable should fit in the bottom of your iPod, whether it is a standard FireWire cable or dock to the USB 2.0 connection.

4. Connect the other end of the cable to the designated location. For USB users, this will be a USB port on your computer. If you use FireWire, and connect it to four or six-pin FireWire is not.

5. Download and install iTunes if you do not have the software. It is a free program your iPod. If you had installed before establishing the connection, it will open and audio / visual files or on their own. After transferring to your iPod files to load or eject.
I have connected my nanomax ipod to the computer and it is not charging.how should i charge it?

Good morning, afternoon, evening or night; whatever time you are viewing this solution post. Thank you for choosing FixYa to solve your problem. So you have connected your Nanomax iPod to the computer and it's not charging like it's supposed to, and you want to know how you should charge it properly? There are two ways you can charge the battery - charging via your Dock Connector to USB Cable, or the Apple USB Power Adapter (which is sold separately). Here are the step by step instructions to charging your and Nanomax.

Using the Dock Connector to USB Cable
 1. Using your Dock Connector to USB Cable, plug the dock connector end to your iPod and plug the USB end to your computer. Make sure the computer you are using has a USB 2.0 port (check your computer's technical specifications to see if it's USB 2.0 certified). Most USB ports on the keyboards of laptops do not provide enough power to perform charging activities. If you have a Docking Station, plug the docking connector into the station and placed the iPod in the station as well.
 2. Make sure your computer is fully awake and not asleep (meaning in sleep mode).
 3. A fully charged battery takes 3 hours to complete. An 80% charged battery takes an hour and 30 minutes. The battery is charging when it shows the charging icon (a battery not fully shaded in green, with a lightning bolt). The battery is done charging when the "fully charged" icon shows (a green-shaded battery with a 2-prong plug showing).
 4. When you are done, disconnect the cable from your computer.
Using the Apple USB Power Adapter
 1. Connect the Alternating Current (AC) Plug Adapter with the power adapter (if connected already, skip this step).
 2. Using your Dock Connector to USB Cable, connect the dock connector end to your iPod and the USB end to the power adapter.
 3. Plug the power adapter into a polarized wall outlet or surge protector outlet.
I think you connected everything correctly, but the USB port on your computer did not have enough power to charge your battery. If that's the case, you will have to find a computer that has a USB 2.0 port on it (like a desktop PC or MAC, or a car adapter charging device) and connect to it, or use the USB Power Adapter (sold seperately). I think this pretty much answers your question. I hope this benefits you the best way possible. Once again, thank you for choosing Fixya as your one-stop solution spot for your problems. Have a good day, evening or night; whatever time you are viewing this, and visit us again the next you need assistance troubleshooting.

When connecting iphone in usb port, display stays reading and nothing happens on dual xdm6350

ANSWER:
The USB is not going to work with your iPod. It is intended to be used with a flash drive or external hard drive with a folder structure containing either .mp3 or .wma files.

REASON:
The way the USB works on the system is that it reads all the files and folders on the entire device and will say "reading" until it reads all the files and folders. This should only take a few seconds but if there is tons of files it may take longer.
Main problem: An iPod contains much more than just music files and folders - it contains an entire operating system. Worse, the operating system which the iPod uses is protected, keeping other devices except for iTunes from reading the music files.

SOLUTION:
You will need to use a flash drive or external hard drive with your USB. This device can only contain music, and the music must be organized into folders. Your iPod will not work. However, you can use Auxiliary input using a cable which both ends are 1/4" headphone jacks, one end going to the iPod and other plugged into your stereo.

Good Luck!

Unable to hook up

if it's a fairly old pc some motherboards cannot supply enough power to the usb port to power the ipod especially if it's not USB2.0. Try other USB ports and leave other USB peripherals out so as to allow more voltage to the port you are using. Failing that you will need to purchase a mains powered USB hub, which should connect to the ipod no problem.
