When signed into yahoo messenger. i click on my friend to chat with him. the window comes up. i type my text into my text box and hit enter. and nothing appears in the chat window. I Contacted you yesterday to fix the problem and thought we had succeeded but the problem still persists

reinstall ur operating system coz there is no solution for that

Adding a simple entry to the Windows Registry will let you run multiple instances of
Yahoo! Messenger simultaneously and sign in to as many accounts as you may have,
all from a single user account on the same computer.

1. Click Start
   
   
2. Click Run
   
   
3. Type regedit in the Open
   input box and hit ENTER key
   
   
4. Navigate
   to:
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Yahoo\Pager\Test
   
   
5. Click New on the Edit menu, and then click
   DWORD Value
   
   
6. Type Plural, and hit the ENTER key to name the entry.
   
   
7. In the right pane, right-click Plural, and then click
   Modify.
   
   
8. In the Edit DWORD Value dialog box, type 1
   under Value data

Now run Yahoo! Messenger
as usual. Every time you click/double click the Yahoo! Messenger icon in your
Start Menu, on your Desktop or your Quick Launch a new instance of
Yahoo! Messenger will be started. You can now sign in to multiple Yahoo!
Messenger accounts and be notified of any new email you have on any of your
Yahoo! accounts.

2) In the Start Menu click on Run. Type, without the quotes, "regsvr32 jscript.dll" and then click OK. Next, repeat the process but this time type in the Run box "regsvr32 vbscript.dll" and click OK. Please note, if you are using Windows Vista temporarily disable the User Account Control (UAC). You can easily turn it back on. On the Control Panel (Category View) choose User Accounts and Family Safety, next choose User Accounts, and then click Turn User Account Control on or off.

3) If the above does not fix your problem and you are using Windows XP, you can update your Windows Script to version 5.7. In my experience helping others, this is the step that has helped the most people. Exit all browser windows and chat programs including Yahoo Messenger before installing. run registry cleaner reginout cleaner to easily fix it

After Updating, check that you do not have Old Versions of Flash Player, Shock Wave player and Java ...this causes problems.
click --- Start/Control Panel/ Programs
?Delete the Old Versions First................

Til not work mean, try to download ccleaner and clear all you catch and cookies do that process more then 2 time then try to open your messenger and send msg . surely it will help you

Yahoo messenger presently is undergoing few changes at the server end. In order to login efficiently I use to run two ping commands. To do so, press on start button click on run button type cmd in the box and hit ok button. In the black window now type exactly the same in the bracket remember brackets are not included in the command (ping www.yahoo.com -t) don't forget to put space after .com before typing -t. -t is hyphen t. repeat this message once more and you will be able to login through messenger. Then select join room. 4. Select what type of category you want to join. 5. Then Choose a room you want to socialize. 6. wait for the loading bar when it's done then click enter. 7. type the verification letter posted at the top of your text box. 8. your done! you can now socialize and add some friends.
