Brand new Matytag MDB7749AWB Dishwasher does not work correctly. As soon as the power was turned on, all three cycle indicator lights ('Wash', 'Dry', and 'Clean') came on and always remain on. The 'Sanitized' indicator light is also always on. I ran the dishwasher through one automatic cycle and it seemed to work OK except it washed way too hot, as if 'Steam Clean', 'High Temp Wash', or 'Sanitize' were selected, even though none of them were. Resetting the power has no effect.

Try putting the unit into a test mode. This my clear your issues otherwise call for service.

One of two ways to do this.
In standby (no lights) Press the combination of buttons:
hi temp wash > sanitize > hi temp wash > sanitize > hi temp wash
All lights will come on and the washer will run a test cycle anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes.
If that button comb doesn't work use:
heated dry > sanitize > heated dry > sanitize > heated dry

I love you right now! the heated dry > sanitize method worked to put it in test mode and it's running now. I have yet to see if it works normal from here, but at least I know there is a connection to the start button and that I can do a mini-cycle! thank you so much.

My Hoover H dish wont start when i touch the start buttons i have 3 flashing lights

When you encounter flashing lights on your Hoover H dishwasher and the appliance is not responding as expected, it indicates that there might be a problem with the dishwasher's operation. The specific meaning of the flashing lights can vary based on the dishwasher model and its error code system. However, here are some general troubleshooting steps you can take:
  1. Check the Manual: Refer to your dishwasher's user manual or guide. Look for a section that explains the meaning of the flashing lights and any corresponding error codes. The manual may provide guidance on what steps to take to resolve the issue.
  2. Power Reset: Turn off the dishwasher and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes reset the control board and resolve minor glitches.
  3. Check for Door Lock Issue: Some dishwashers have a safety feature that prevents them from starting if the door is not closed properly or the door latch is faulty. Make sure the door is securely closed and the latch is functioning correctly.
  4. Check Water Supply: Ensure that the water supply to the dishwasher is turned on and there are no kinks or blockages in the water inlet hose.
  5. Inspect Drainage: Check the dishwasher's drainage system for any clogs or obstructions. A blocked drain can prevent the dishwasher from starting.
  6. Cancel Any Previous Cycles: If there was a previous cycle that was interrupted or not completed, try canceling that cycle and then select a new cycle to see if the dishwasher starts.
  7. Child Lock: Some dishwashers have a child lock feature that can prevent the appliance from starting. Check if your dishwasher has this feature and make sure it's not activated.
  8. Error Codes: If your dishwasher has an error code display, note down the specific error code that corresponds to the flashing lights. Look up the error code in your manual or online to understand what the issue might be.
  9. Professional Service: If none of the above steps resolve the issue and your dishwasher is still not responding, it's advisable to contact Hoover customer support or a professional appliance technician for further assistance. They can diagnose and repair any more complex issues that might be affecting your dishwasher.
Remember to always prioritize safety when working with electrical appliances. If you're unsure about any step, it's best to seek professional help.

What 2 cycle lights? Samsung dishwashers indicate problems and errors by making different lights light up and/or flash. We would need to know the model number too.

Maytag dishwasher Model MDB7749AWB won't start/respond

Either the start switch, the start relay, the wires between them, the wires to the motor, or an internal fuse inside the panel, or the door safety interlock could be the problem. Even, any combination of the above could cause this. This is a real troubleshooting problem. Are you game?

Green start button won't stop blinking

START/RESET status indicator light flashing

You have pressed the indicator light flashing START/RESET pad while the START/RESET dishwasher is running. This will cancel the cycle. The light will stop flashing after the dishwasher drains (about 90 seconds).

• Press the pad once to start the dishwasher. Press the pad a second time when the dishwasher is running only if you wish to cancel the cycle.

Power to the dishwasher was turned off while a cycle was running and power has just been restored to the dishwasher. The blinking lights indicate that the dishwasher is draining the potential water inside.

• The light will stop flashing after the dishwasher drains. A new cycle will start automatically.

Good luck

I have a Gu2500XTPQ1. It will not start a new wash cycle.

The blinking clean light is an interruption in the dishwasher program that either indicates a malfunction, or it can be a simple glitch. The following link explains how you may be able to clear the blinking clean light problem:
http://www.fixya.com/support/r3575752-dishwasher_blinking_clean_light

Now, keep in mind all dishwashers are not alike and have different panel options. If you do not have the same set up that I have mentioned, the tech sheet for your dishwasher will explain the touch pad functions. The tech sheet is located behind the lower toe panel under the door and lists the proper sequence of buttons to push for diagnostics and troubleshooting. Just remove the screws that hold the panel in place and remove.

NOTE: Sometimes the tech sheet is located behind the inner door panel. You will need to remove the screws securing the inner panel to access it if this is the case. Make sure you turn off the main power breaker before doing so.

If the problem keeps reoccuring the number of flashes is an indication of WHICH circuit is causing your problem. As all dishwashers differ in operation and features, refer to your tech sheet for the recommended troubleshooting steps.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you solve your problem.

Some dishwashers use the Sani-Rinse/Air Dry combination, some use the Sani-Rinse/Heated Dry combination. Some use a sequence of three, others use a sequence of 5 pushes of the buttons. The tech sheet should explain the procedures in detail. If it is not located behind the lower toe panel, or affixed somewhere under the dishwasher, I have also found them located inside the inner door panel. Let me know if you still need assistance.
